Sniper's cat and mouse game

It's a film that's driven entirely by dialogue, and it's completely missing the Doug Liman ("Bourne Life" series director) fast-paced, an hour and a half of conflicts and conflicts and the final outburst revolving around against a dangerous wall. However, the film's solid story makes the one-and-a-half hour viewing time not too long at all. The main characters of the film are an Iraqi sniper and two American soldiers who "can only hear the sound but not the person". The American sniper, played by John Cena, is shot and falls to the ground shortly after the opening, and since then, the film has essentially become a one-man show for Seth, the observer, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Most of the plot of the film is developed through radio dialogue between Seth and the mysterious sniper. From the dialogue, we can learn about the two people's life experience, their understanding of the war (Iraq War), and the reasons for participating in the war. At the same time, Seth, who was trapped and helpless under the wall, was "dealing" with the mysterious sniper while trying to find a way to ask for help.

After watching the entire film, I found that the whole film is a story of a cat-and-mouse game. The mysterious sniper is the sly cat, and Seth is the mouse that was completely played by him. Hope, hope dashed again and again. It can be said that every step of Seth is under the control of the sniper, and even the seemingly candid conversation between the two is just a trick of the sniper in order to further disguise himself in order to summon more American rescuers. Moreover, this Iraqi sniper trained by the US military turned his gun and used US-made weapons to deal with US soldiers. It must be said that it is also a great irony. Finally, a little bit about acting, and to be honest, if I hadn't looked at the cast, I really didn't recognize the disgraced Seth being played by "Quicksilver" Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but it made him more focused. Acting rather than looks, and Aaron did a great job. John Cena, the former American wrestling champion, played a small role as an American sniper, but even if he was wrapped in a thick military uniform, he could still be seen as a big man. One of the few laughs in the film.

The Wall quotes

  • [first lines]

Matthews: [sighting through his scope from a bush] Nothin'. Hit n' run. Whoever it was they're gone. War's over, he got the memo.

    [sighs]

    Matthews: Ize?

    [bird squawking]

    Matthews: Allen? Ize!

    Isaac: [on his radio] What?

Matthews: We got no movement, not a sign of a shadow... How long we been here, man? 18, plus?

    Isaac: 20.

Matthews: [sighs] Jesus. There's nobody fuckin' out there, man.

    Isaac: Less he's a pro.

    Matthews: A Haji?

    Isaac: I'm just saying, maybe.

  • Juba: You Americans. You think you know it all. You think it's simple. That I am your enemy. But we are not so different, you and I.

Isaac: Yeah, 'cept I ain't a fuckin' terrorist.

Juba: And you think I am? You are the one who has come to another man's country. Camouflaged yourself in his land, in his soil. From where I'm sitting, *you* look very much like the terrorist.
