I finally watched Ken Loach's "The Child and the Eagle", and the long running shot at the beginning reminded people of Truffaut's "The Four Hundred Blows". This film is even more heartbreaking. An important point is the choice of actors, the aura of despair and depression, and Kenloch's stern narrative in his early years. However, the dialogue between a child and a good teacher has matured to a level beyond the mental level of a teenager. It may also be that Chinese children's expression skills and three views generally mature late. . What makes me feel hopeless about this film is that the child finally caught hope in the mud, but was beaten back with a savage punch, much worse than the slightly rebellious and cunning child in "Four Hundred Blows"...
