She's the Returning King, She's Arya Stark of Winterfell - To My Favorite Erya
His name is Jaime Lannister, and he's destined not to be celebrated At the end of the seventh season of the Knights
of Thrones, the last big group photo before graduation, and those big
pits left in the ice and fire (Dragon and the White Walker, the Lord of Light and the Old God, and the secret of the season of the world of ice and fire)
Wait a year Game of Thrones has finally returned, just in time to watch dramas at home in the hot summer. It's a pity that this is already the first half of the last season. It's really a bit reluctant to watch one episode less!
In fact, there are too many analysis posts about Game of Thrones, and I didn't particularly want to write them. However, as a die-hard fan who has followed from the book to the drama, and then from the drama to the prequels, I still have to say something cheeky~~ (There should be a sinister smile here)
Regarding the topic, the classmates who have already read the first episode must be deep impression. This is the last sentence of the first episode, and it is also the only line of Long Ma in this episode. With this sentence alone, the domineering force of the seventh season has come to the face, making the fans smell the blood and rain every minute.
Although it lasted for an hour, everyone who had been holding it for a year and a half said that it was not enough to watch. But there is no way to do it. Who makes this show have too many characters? It takes a lot of time to take care of a few main characters in each episode, not to mention the intertwined and complex plots.
Closer to home, after so long, even if there is a summary of the previous situation, is the previous plot almost forgotten? At this point, the crew is quite considerate. The first episode of each season is almost a rhythm that connects the past and the future, basically continuing the story at the end of the previous season, giving everyone a buffer. So, let's take a look at the characters in the first episode of this season. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am the dividing line between moderate spoilers and minor complaints
most records. Erya, who has returned from school, is full of firepower. After cutting her throat at the end of last season, she washed the Twins City with blood and avenged the bloody wedding. Her face is calm and arrogant, and I want to slap the table when I see it.
Throughout so many seasons of Game of Thrones, plus the characters in the original book, Erya has always been my favorite. This girl with the "Blood of the Wolf", from a quirky tomboy when she first appeared on the stage, has gone through great changes in her family and displacement. With her always-on IQ and indomitable courage, she has completed her growth and transformation.
Compared with the protagonist's halo that brother Jon and Long Ma hang all the way, this kind of growth is more difficult. Before, many people worried that she would really lose herself and become a faceless person. However, Erya is Erya after all, and at the end of last season, when she said "I am Arya Stark of Winterfell" again, many people must be as excited as I am.
(I like her so much, I accidentally said too much, maybe I will post it later.)
Okay, let's pull it back and see other perspectives of this episode.
2. The six seasons of winter finally arrived, and the Night King led the White Walkers army to break through the defense line and attack the Great Wall. Judging from the composition of the members, many giants have also become White Walkers, and their combat effectiveness cannot be underestimated. There is also Hodor, who made enough tears in the last season, and may also become a member of the White Walkers. It is rumored that he still has a role in this season, asking the screenwriter to lightly abuse him.
3. Bran, who made an amazing appearance in the last season, has now become a new Three-Eyed Raven. After being taught, he can not only see the past, but even influence the past to a certain extent (see the example of Hodor and Ned seems to hear his call).
After all the hard work, he returned to the Great Wall. At the beginning, he was a strong prophet, and with a few words, he let the night watchman open the city gate. This is another "returned from school" character of the wolf family. Although he has not yet been able to reunite with Jon and Sansha from Winterfell, the reunion is just around the corner.
4. In Winterfell, things are a little more complicated. On the one hand, with the support of Xiongdao Lori and others, Jon, who "knows nothing", was crowned the king of the North, and the three foolish IQs of the five seasons were also launched, and they successfully brought in Uncle Zhitou's rescue; On the one hand, the two people who have experienced very different concerns have long been different, and the conflict between siblings finally broke out as everyone expected.
囧 This absolute main character will not say much first, and insert a sentence about the three fools. Starting from changing the original book and forcibly letting Sansha marry Xiaobopi, I feel that her character design has been a little hard to come back. In the original book, she was still pretending to be an illegitimate daughter on the mountain in the Eagle's Nest City, and her temperament as a eldest lady was also worn away, but in the play, she fell into the enemy's hands repeatedly and after being tortured several times, her personality began to change to the other extreme. .
Now her IQ has improved slightly, but her ruthlessness makes people faintly worried. After all, her "Master" is a famous IQ who is not online all the year round and is still self-righteous. Stay by your side. I really hope it doesn't happen again at an important juncture.
5. Return to King's Landing. After experiencing the street parade and mastering the enhanced version of the magic mountain, Se finally decided to throw off his arms and do it himself. A wildfire burned the cathedral and the enemy in front of him. With the last son committing suicide, the only real family around her is probably poor James. Self-proclaimed queen, she also knows that she has made enemies on all sides. In order to increase her strength, she again faints and summons Euron of the Iron Islands to King's Landing. (By the way, when Euron said that he had "two good hands", James on the side had the heart to kill, right?)
However, after the wildfire, the vitality of King's Landing was severely damaged, and the ambition of the Queen and Euron's madness may be the only way for the Lions to survive this season.
6. There are so many things, I never thought that the most important part of this episode actually came from Sam. Despite the wind and waves, I almost had a physiological reaction to the dish that I couldn't tell whether it was food or excrement. However, under such circumstances, Sam's body is still the same. I don't know whether to admire him or his digestive ability...
It is worth mentioning that in such a heavy-taste living environment, the lovely Sam still resisted the pressure and made a major discovery - the Dragon Crystal Mine on Dragonstone Island. This is obviously a heavyweight clue connecting the two main lines of Long Ma and Jon.
7. On the way back to King's Landing to assassinate Sehou, Erya encounters the patrolling Lions squad, and there is a long-lost and warm scene (here, Boss Huang forcibly pushes new songs...). Facing the kindness of the enemy soldiers, Erya obviously went through some psychological struggle, but in the end she still ate the other party's food and drank the other party's wine.
This chance encounter almost gave her another window beyond hatred. It is because of her that this squad of soldiers needs to leave their hometown and come to the Twin Rivers City. The pain of the little people in the war, the misery of King's Landing, and the kindness of strangers will also affect her later choices. After all, Arya of Winterfell was not an assassin blinded by hatred.
8. The Hound and the Brotherhood Without Banners traveled farther north, and through the flames, he saw the White Walkers invade. I don't know if this setting means that the "King of Light" has stronger mana, or the Hound has begun to master alternative abilities. But obviously, their team is also going north according to this clue, preparing to fight the White Walkers with the mana of the "Lord of Light", and should be able to join the team of Winterfell or the Night's Watch soon.
There is also a rare warmth hidden in this cold weather. Watching the hound bury the father and daughter whom he had never met, and reciting eulogy that he was not familiar with, he must have decided to atone for his sins. There is a not-so-good feeling of standing up the flag.
9. Of course, the finale is the Dragon Queen who is full of halo of the protagonist. Big Xiong, who was isolated in the academy for treatment of grayscale disease, pulled the camera from the academy to Dragonstone Island. Longma was leading everyone by boat back to his birthplace, which was also the original territory of the Targaryen family.
What's rare is that this time when Long Ma appeared, she finally didn't sign up for ~dish~name~! From landing, opening the city gate, to entering the council hall designed and built by our ancestors, the whole section is full of mixed feelings and intense emotional hedging, all condensed in the simple eye movements and solemn background music. The last sentence of "Shall we begin" not only announced the upcoming battle, but also announced the perfect restart of the seventh season.
For a long time, Long Ma's acting skills are probably the most criticized in the play. The appearance of this episode can probably be regarded as the best proof that she has been improving.
There are only a dozen or so episodes left. It can be seen that the screenwriter has obviously started to speed up the pace. Many details of the original book have been cut off, and the scenes of the story have become more and more concentrated, giving people a feeling that the battle is imminent.
The main forces that haven't appeared in the first episode are the Theon siblings who have joined forces with Dragon Ma, the vengeful Queen of Thorns and the Sand Snakes of Dorne. However, looking at the structure and speed of the story, it shouldn't waste too much time narrating, there is a rhythm that they want cannon fodder.
The plot that can be roughly guessed at present:
囧, who was attracted by Long Jing, came to Longshi Island and met Long Ma, and the two biggest main lines intersected; but since the two temporarily had different goals, it was too early to form an alliance;
Erya Failed to kill the Queen for various reasons (I believe this job was left to Jaime), and headed north to return to Winterfell;
Highgarden, Dorne, and the Dragon Ma joined forces to attack the Lions; Euron brought the Dragon's Horn, joined forces with Sehou to resist and win;
囧 took Longjing from Dragonstone Island and led the people in the north to fight against the White Walkers near the Great Wall.
In fact, "Game of Thrones" has seen the general plot direction and mysteries basically clear. The battle between humans and the White Walkers, and Jon's life experience, have basically been guessed. But even so, the show still has honeyed appeal, not only because of the amazing plot, but also because of the characters we've watched all the way through the first season, and after a long time, it's like having true vitality. Well, probably the screenwriter classmate's ability to send a box lunch without a word is also amazing.
So, everything is ready, Shall we begin?
PS: In the follow-up, I may not write analysis for every episode, but I will write about other things. I haven’t figured out the character biography or the plot line. Anyway, the seventh season is still long, so let me struggle for a while.
