Novel ideas, unconventional plots, and self-explanatory endings are not easy to see in a zombie movie, not to mention it is a directorial debut! Different from the hostile relationship between humans and zombies in traditional films, the zombies in this sci-fi film have evolved into species higher and more suitable for survival than humans, and eventually replaced humans as new life on earth. The relationship between the teacher and the zombie girl is worth pondering. The teacher imparts knowledge to the zombies, hoping to tame this group of creatures, but never expects to eventually become a prisoner of this new group of creatures. The girl learns human emotions through talent, but further uses mastery to dominate human beings, such as learning to shoot at the police, learning to suppress her savage bloodthirsty beast, and even eventually detonating zombie spores to save her own kind. As a British director, Colm McCarthy has borrowed many classic types of bridges in the film, the most obvious of which is the weird atmosphere in "28 Days Shocked". The passages of several protagonists passing through the zombie crowd are the most tense and interesting. The gimmick of using the dog to distract the zombies made me laugh, and it undoubtedly added a sense of playfulness to this dark and depressing genre film.
