Unconventional Adventure Story

Instead of the imaginary thrills and lurid primitive tribes, there is a slow narrative. Following the traditional old-fashioned tone, it tells the mental journey of an idealist: he has a fearless spirit that is difficult to understand by the world, and explores the source of unknown civilization of mankind. The sacrifices he has made in maintaining family relationships are also enough to make people cry. If you think about it carefully, this male protagonist is exactly the same as the previous "Seeking Asylum". Both of them have persistence and eccentricities that are ridiculed by the world. Fortunately, they both get the understanding and support of their families in the end, and they can practice their ideals without hesitation. To some extent, the blood of the family is maintained.

Director James Gray is still the same, using a classical narrative to restore a bizarre adventure story, but unfortunately the uncontrolled details in the script are tiresome, and it is difficult to capture its shining points in viewing. The lengthy length and bland rhythm also have Suspicion of pretending, even if the ending of the gods came back a little bit of goodwill. It is said that the director insisted on shooting on film, and it is a pity that he was not able to watch it on the big screen this time.

  • Percy Fawcett: [standing over his kill] To death... The best sauce to life.

  • Baron De Gondoriz: You come here to make maps. Why is that? So that there may be peace. What is peace? Peace means my business will flourish. I will flourish. Peace means only that nothing will change. I will help you because you will make sure that nothing will change.
