Set a year after the original series ended, it stars Christine Baranski (Diane Lockhart) and Cush Jumbo (Lucca Quinn) as Sarah Steele as Marissa Gold, who starts out as Diane's assistant and finds herself investigating interested. So this character will continue the character style of Kalinda and Robyn in The Good Wife. "Bold Fight" tells the story of a huge financial scam that destroys the future of young lawyer Maia (Rose Leslie) and wipes out the savings of her godmother and mentor Diane, who is forced to leave "Lockhart & Lee" and join Lucca Quinn A famous Chicago firm.
Justin Bartha plays the regular character Colin, a rising star in the state attorney general's office and Chicago's fifth-best diamond king. The two fell in love after he confronted Lucca Quinn in court. Helene Yorke plays Amy, Maia's lawyer girlfriend, with whom she has a stable relationship, and Amy herself has been out of law school for some time.
Paul Guilfoyle plays Maia's father, Henry, a successful financial advisor who is very wealthy and beloved. Bernadette Peters plays Lenore, Maia's mother, who is originally from a working-class background but has a natural financial savvy. She grew his wealth through the Henry family's private investment firm, making the three of them the unofficial "first family" in Chicago.
Gary Cole will continue to play Diane's husband Kurt McVeigh, and mother-of-stars Zach Grenier and Jerry Adler will also reprise their roles as David Lee and Howard Lyman in cameo appearances in the spinoff. There is also Erica Tazel, but there is no character description for her.
Carrie Preston, who also stars in a cameo, will reprise her role on The Good Wife from her mother's show The Good Wife: Elsbeth Tascioni, an eccentric but clever lawyer. Carrie Preston won an Emmy for Guest Actress for this role.
