Can I be hugged if I reveal my true nature?

I believe that many people have heard the phrase " if you like weird people, I'm actually beautiful " because it is often used as a self-deprecating mantra. And the movie I recommend to you today is a movie that changed from ordinary people to weird people in the eyes of others:

"Eat Raw"

The heroine, from a young age, is in our eyes "other people's children". Growing up in a family that insisted on vegetarianism, she also did not eat meat.

The first time she relapsed was when she was drenched in pig blood by the seniors and sisters at the entrance ceremony of the Veterinary College, and then forced her to eat raw rabbit kidneys.

She has been a vegetarian for a long time, of course she will reject this sudden foreign body. Then her body started to itch, and her whole body was covered with red rashes. After tasting the pleasure of meat, I began to feel hungry from time to time.

And the change that happened quietly in her was that she began to pay attention to the boys in the class and wanted to have some communication with them.

Externally, it is to start eating meat products.

From canteen meat patties, to grab-and-go food, and finally to bite human flesh.

Seeing this, I didn't feel any discomfort, and even applauded the director's whimsy. Because this movie, wrapped in horror flavors, is meant to teach us to "be who we love", which is really cool.

Because it tells the story of what a person will be like after being repressed. In the movie, the expression is that the girl is always full of confusion at the beginning

No matter how you eat vegetarian food, there will be leftover plates on the table

With her suppressed nature, she envies people who can express her true self. She keeps learning and imitating others.

You may ask, why are you sure that it is her nature to like meat for the heroine? Then we look at her state after she started eating meat.

Eyes become firm, no longer in a trance

No more hesitation about things, dare to think and indulge

If the previous vegetarian life represented that a good baby who listened to her parents was bound by herself, then now she has betrayed the original family teachings and changed to a meat-eating diet, she has finally found a new self.

And this process of transforming from suppressing the ego to releasing the id can be seen as a pain in the path of our growth.

At the beginning, I listed it as a youth film like "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", which described the bewildering pains of adolescence, but after the second review, I realized that it would be too unfair to interpret it as a youth growth film under the shell of bloody horror.

Regardless of whether we are Chinese or Western, we will all be taught at a very young age that "it's wrong to do XX" and "state-owned countries have family rules". Therefore, we have already obeyed the rules and restraint as an instinct, and there is really no need to reiterate them in this way.

So I only discuss the plot, I don't think she is a movie about restraining her instincts and becoming a better person.

I feel like this movie is just trying to tell you that maybe you have this or that disgusting, self-loathing vice, but it's not your fault, it just means you're a little different from everyone else. What you need to do is not to suppress your nature and correct it into the so-called correct way, but to face it squarely and carefully review the pros and cons it brings to you.

If you still think it's okay to do this even after you know it's hurting others and yourself, then you will always find someone who is willing to be eaten by you even if you reveal that you are a cannibal monster in front of it.

What kind of person you become has its own meaning.

Even if the world already has many "correct" standards to measure, even if no one recognizes you, you have to accept yourself as you are, and believe that someone will really appreciate you.

Even if a relationship breaks down or fails, don't just blame yourself for not being good enough for being abandoned. As long as you persist, you will find your own meaning sooner or later.
