The most common argument about David Lynch's work is that many people don't understand it. In fact, in my opinion, it doesn't matter at all whether there is a reasonable logic and a complete explanation. I don't really care about the logic in the film, whether it's "The Wilderness of the Night", "Mulholland Drive", or "Twin Peaks", I've never had enough interest in trying to figure out the ins and outs of the story.
Because I focused on the "atmosphere" and "single paragraph effect" in the film. Designing story logic is always the easiest. And "atmosphere" and "single paragraph effect" are the key points and the characteristics of this film.

First, the use of "sound effects".
In various film and television languages, sound effects have always been a supporting role, only David Lynch mentioned it as a major role. Apart from Lynch, Kubrick may be the only one who can claim to have made artistic and creative use of sound effects, such as "The Shining" and "2001: A Space Odyssey."
If you pay attention to other American TV shows or movies, most of the scenes are music, not sound effects. And whether it's music or sound effects, they all give way to content, and the task is to highlight the content. Let the audience focus on the content without thinking about the presence of sound effects.
And David Lynch's sound is part of the content, is inseparable.
If the "content" is compared to a family, then in David Lynch's film and television works, the "sound effect" is the wife, or son or daughter of the family. In other films, "sound effects" are simply the furniture or appliances in the family.
For the analysis of David Lynch's use of "sound effects", you can also refer to the music he composed. David Lynch is not only a director, an actor, a painter, but also a lot of music, composing and singing for himself, and has released several albums.
The status of sound effects in his music works is the status of his films.

So, for characteristic paragraphs, look at the whole when making a bad judgment. And like the whole, it must have excellent paragraphs. Learn to appreciate these passages individually.
These paragraphs are also designed individually. When I create my own, I have to consider how to design such distinctive paragraphs. So, the 8th episode of season 3 should not be used to discredit Twin Peaks at all, it belongs to the whole. It's just that it's hard for me to learn anything from this tactic in this episode. But put it in the "Twin Peaks" world as a whole, part of the gleaming Twin Peaks.

In "Twin Peaks", the thread of this entertainment is the line of cooper, as long as it appears, it must attract the audience. Note: Maybe someone who liked Inland Empire might appreciate some of its creative use of camera technology, or learn something. But that's beyond the scope of my article today, because personally I don't create anything like that, and the well-established entertainment line in "Twin Peaks", and those enigmatic little passages full of charm, are I try hard to learn.
4. Multi-line suspense

In the suspense drama "Twin Peaks" is the second, no one dares to be the first.
Another famous suspense drama "Lost" is far inferior to "Twin Peaks" in terms of suspense, the details are not good, and the doubts are repeated. Moreover, the center of gravity shows the human nature and emotional changes of people in special situations, similar to The Walking Dead.
And "Twin Peaks", its core point is suspense, showing all kinds of strange things. Its suspenseful design is top-notch.

The logic of the plot doesn't matter to me.
But "suspense design" is particularly important. "Suspense" takes on the particularly important task of "causing the audience's interest".
It doesn't matter whether the "suspense" is finally explained. The important thing is that when the design comes out, the design is better.
Because of this, assuming that "Twin Peaks" is broadcast until the 8th episode of the third season, the subsequent episodes suddenly disappeared, no more! There is no explanation for everything, there is no following. It doesn't affect the fact that "Twin Peaks" is a great show in the art palace.

In the first paragraph, the red room itself is very quiet, and the red curtains do not move at all, but the sound effect at this time is similar to the sound of wind.
The second paragraph, in the forest of twin peaks, is also the sound effect of wind, which is a natural connection with the previous paragraph.
The third segment is a variant of the wind sound, the sound is raised, forming a sound similar to wind blowing through a pipe, combined with the environment above the high-rise building.
In the fourth section of the Twin Peaks Hotel, and in the police station after that, there is no sound effect, and everything seems to be normal.
