"Art is explosion!" - Deidara
Episode 8 is weirder than anything Lynch has done before. The purpose of concocting this review is not to sort out the clues in the play (I have neither the time nor the IQ), but to vent the feelings that have been suppressed for so long.
I thought that Lynch deliberately designed a confusing plot in order to fill the huge hole dug 25 years ago, but now more people find that the hole is getting deeper and deeper. Season three expanded locations beyond Twin Peaks to include Lynch's office in the FBI building, where a poster of a nuclear bomb hangs behind the desk. I thought it was funny at the time, I thought it was just to set off the eccentricity and humor of the boss. After watching the eighth episode, I couldn't help but sigh: "Nima really has a connection?!"
Episode 8 is divided into five parts:
1. On the late-night trail, the fake cooper threatened ray in an attempt to get some information, but unexpectedly let the other party make a move first and was shot. After that, some ghost-like things came from all directions, biting the fake cooper's body, scaring Ray to drive away. After a period of time, the fake cooper opened his eyes and was startled, his eyes blurred;
2. The Nine Inch Nails band performs in a roadside bar, with weird lyrics (hint?) and a tune of "frozen" people;
3. The explosion of the atomic bomb test in 1945 lasted for nearly ten minutes, which was mixed with messy footage. Buildings like gas stations and those ghosts (very scary)
4. It seems that outside the earth, giants and fat women appear in tall and closed buildings. The giant saw the explosion of the earth through the display screen, and he was suspended in the air, and the golden light overflowed from his head, converging into a ball. The fat woman saw Laura Palmer on the sphere, and let it fall on the earth through black technology.
5. In 1956, a flying bug was born from an egg in the desert. A shabby, dark-skinned man landed on the earth with a cigarette in his mouth, "Got a light?", he killed the female staff and security guards of the radio station with eagle claw, and started broadcasting, "This is the water this is the well... ”. The people who heard the broadcast, the mechanic, the waiter at the restaurant (it seems to be Norma’s restaurant), the girl after the date all fell asleep. The dead bug got into the girl's mouth (crack!)
It is worth noting that the smoke-dipping eagle-claw king seems to have appeared twice before, once next door when the middle school principal was thrown into the prison and howling, and the other time when the female Pentagon officer went to the hospital to investigate Colonel Briggs with the police and forensics. corpse in the hallway.
In short, an explosion, the global audience is collectively stupid.
"What rubbish, pretending to be a mystery, playing tricks, bad reviews, bad reviews, bad reviews!"
However, the effect Lynch wanted was formed in the explosion. In the eighth episode, Lynch's art, is to explode!
