I made up "fever pitch" last night. To exaggerate, it should be the best sports movie I've ever seen, if it's also a sports movie. Paul loves Arsenal so much that everything in life can come to him. Arsenal can be said to be everything before he met Hughes, and even after he met Hughes, it was what he cared about the most. I wonder why Hughes and Paul are together? It should be counted as one of the places in the movie that I didn't understand very well, but the other scenes, especially the scenes showing Paul's love for his home team, really made me feel a lot. At the end of the movie, Paul finally waited until he violated the championship for 18 years. At this time, his feelings for Arsenal suddenly became relieved, not so paranoid, and not only Arsenal in life, maybe this is the real fanaticism.

Nick Hornby, a die-hard factory honey, can write this story and this group of people so cute. The complicated feelings and complaints about the beloved team are just right! Why do so many fans of your factory dislike it? ! ? I am a passerby worried for you...

As a fan, I feel the same way. Only a fan can write such a novel, the fan's psychology can be understood, and that kind of belief can only be understood by the same fans. After entering middle age, I finally understand that football is not the whole of life, it is only a small part.

Fever Pitch quotes

  • Jo: [regarding Sarah's sudden interest in her boyfriend's favorite team] It's all a sinister form of male manipulation.

    Sarah Hughes: Rubbish!

Jo: It's true! You get colonized! Your native culture gets driven out, and it's replaced by stuff that you don't like and don't even want to know about.

  • Ted, the Headmaster: I wanted to talk to you about a vacancy. Rosie Hunter's handed in her notice I wonder whether you'd be interested in applying.

Paul Ashworth: Head of year? Erm, well...

Ted, the Headmaster: It's obviously not the most attractive offer you've ever had.

Paul Ashworth: *Come on Ben, get back with him!* Sorry Ted.

Ted, the Headmaster: I haven't fired you with enthusiasm.

Paul Ashworth: Well there's a lot of work, isn't it? What do I want to do more work for?

    Ted, the Headmaster: More money?

Paul Ashworth: Well I've got enough to pay my rent, I got enough for my season ticket and a couple of records a month. Got no family.

Ted, the Headmaster: I'd like you to think about it.

Paul Ashworth: Sorry Ted as far as I'm concerned there's nothing to think about. *Come on Sam, put it away!*
