Humans are also self-pity and feel that they are not perfect, so they want to create something more perfect. Yes, making a robot look like a human is more able to resonate with humans and empathize. But human emotions are really rich and easy to fall into. On the one hand, we want them to be closer to people, and on the other hand, we don't want them to actually become people.
