The result of all this is that the whole story feels rushed and extravagant, a lot of potential good plots are not fully developed, and a love life like Diego's is subjectively ignored. There are tons of characters mixed in, too many old and new with barely any screen time, and the only really interesting ones are Buck, Scraet, and Ellie. Diego is still a lot of fun as a veteran highlight but there's no room at all, and Manny has been largely boring since episode two. Sid is more annoying than ever this time around, with extra personality disorder and excess self-awareness, with little to no fun. There are some witty moments in the script, but it's too mundane and far less familiar than the series' predecessors.
