human nature and evil

When writing an isolated film review, we might as well study human nature and inherent evil first.
Why do we obey the law? Have you ever thought about it.
We study within this border, abide by the law, learn, grow, and are normal people. (Altruists or impure egoists) There are only a few outsiders in the border, and you can classify him as some bloodthirsty perverts. (pure egoist)
First isolation is breaking the border, no laws, the first day of the law of the jungle then the second day then the third day...? I will simply analyze these characters, you can define the good and the bad for yourself, but I believe that everyone will be very scared when you see it in the end.
Mickey: There is only a short introduction to his background, first of all we all understand that he is the owner of the basement, secondly he has a wife and daughter, and thirdly he is a fireman and has a lot of food. There is a lot of debate about him whether he is good or evil. Some people say where is his kindness? Did you save these people? No, everyone saw it at the beginning of the movie. It was these people who came to his territory. It was too late if he couldn't drive them away, so he had to call them "good". Did he mean he was "good" by telling Eva how to get out? No, the real goodness is altruism, and he is just for himself, he wants Eva to save him. The result was tragic. Mickey's despair could also be seen from the unlovable face at the end. How could he have thought that among these people, the one he trusted most would betray him.
Some people say that he is "evil" and it's not entirely true. He concealed food only out of reason. In order to distribute food rationally in the future, he was forced to kill Darwin. Among these characters, the most pressing thing for him was not the one who had a verbal dispute with him. Josh is precisely this self-righteous Darwin, who finally peeped at him and asked him to hand over the food.
So there is no "good" and "evil" in Mickey. I just think he's the most passive person. Passively saving these people, passively hiding food, passively giving a way to escape, all frankly speaking, he was forced. Everyone saw the despair of being empty after Eva went out, but didn't everyone see the despair of Mickey after learning that he was abandoned by Eva? Which one is more painful?
Eva: Some people say she's very scheming, but I don't think I am. At first, she was just a smart bystander, but later, taking the initiative to explore the road also showed that she was a brave person. (In the end, she bravely climbed through the shit pit and walked outside.) She is a bystander but she is not indifferent. When the old woman lost her daughter, she cried with her. When the old woman fell, she said many times that I was here. Because of this, she has been watching the old woman's pain of losing her daughter from the perspective of a bystander, and then to degeneration and then to death, her mentality has naturally changed. Therefore, her desire for life is precisely because the old woman's living example stimulated her, and what made her decide to take action from the collapse to the end was the part of chopping the corpse. This part is very important, because it is the last line of defense of human nature. The defense line is broken, and the border mentioned above is broken. Of course, I can only say that the reason Eva lost her teammates is that she has no one to rely on. We can see that he relied on her boyfriend at the beginning, but the cowardice of her boyfriend and her complacency with Bush in the end made Eva disappointed, and she gradually became dependent on her. The younger brother, but the younger brother was unexpectedly killed by her boyfriend, and her desperation after this only dependence was killed led her to be selfish. The desperation after finally escaping was no less than Mickey's.
Josh: Josh is an impulsive personality. He almost got into a fight with Mickey at the beginning to prove that he is not only strong but also impulsive. That's what makes him the ultimate ruler. But he is also very brave, and the exploration can prove that it is precisely because of this kind of bravery that he is willing to use the most extreme time to destroy himself, whether it is revenge or ending, it is really brave to be able to do so. When I found out that Mickey had a ghost and cut his fingers, I understood that I was in a hurry, I just wanted to know the password, and I didn't care about the people I was torturing, so his human nature changed from normal to purposeful, which was the beginning of breaking the border. Later became a ruler, which I think is also a kind of depravity. I think he loves his brother (Kiyou's love). It can be seen from the way he looks at his brother and the emotional expression on his face when he finally tells Eva if he likes his brother. But later, the younger brother was completely opposed to him, but he was no longer close, so he fell to the extreme. Among them, when he blackmailed Eva to chop the corpse, the younger brother also came over, and he called the younger brother to Eva to chop the corpse, a kind of depravity that was not cared by the people he cared about. Abandoned his life, mainly because his younger brother died. (To be honest, the only character I like, although he is extremely evil, he is also the most affectionate person in this film)
Adrien: Some people say that Adrien is a cannon fodder, but I think he is a key figure in the whole play, because he affects the changes of Eva and the changes of Josh. And he himself is his brother on the one hand, and Eva (conscience) on the other, and his silence at first shows that he has no way to establish a position. After all, one is a woman who feels a little bit, and the other is his own brother. It takes a while to establish a position for anyone else, so this is the delicate part of this movie. It is slowly embedded, and we can clearly see it from the slow rhythm later. The process of Adrien's position change. In the end, when he established helping Eva (following his conscience), he didn't get good results. Some people said that this was also his punishment, because he was too silent at the beginning and was a punishment for being a stranger bystander. I think it was Sam. Subconscious revenge.
Bobby: Bobby is definitely the character who assists in the play, so you can say that this person is bad, he didn't do anything, it's not bad, he pushed Josh into the position of the ruler little by little. His personality changes have also jumped out of the border since he chopped the corpse. But he never reached a state of extreme evil, because in the end he wanted to kill Josh but hesitated, and it could be seen that he had not reached a state of extreme evil. The worst thing about him is that he is still unwilling to be Josh's younger brother all the time. He and old women vent their sexual desires, and then wear skirts. He actually enjoys it. This change is due to the old woman. Without the old woman's embrace, he will not open the extremely evil door of his enjoyment. But while he is enjoying the worst, he keeps his sanity and keeps his (conscience). It can be seen from his later chat with Sam. His bad is a small bad, those so-called pleasures, we are seen as bad, but they are not evil. Because he wandered between the bad and the good, he was killed simply.
Sam: He is indeed cowardly. He slowly understands the rules of the game in a world without borders. He follows Josh on the surface, but his heart is still with his girlfriend. I can say that he is the smartest person in this show. (You may spit it out, but this is the world, only those who know the rules of the game and abide by them are the highest climbers) He finally killed Adrien, you can see that he shot with his eyes closed, and it is stated in the play that he saw Eva When you were having an affair with your brother, you didn't say anything, and you'll be fine if you don't say anything? If he did not die in silence, he broke out in silence. He finally broke out. He subconsciously resented his younger brother. The moment he closed his eyes, it was the person he wanted to kill the most, so this was not manslaughter.
Marilyn: It can also be said that she is very smart. In this world without borders, she is the fastest to understand the rules of the game, and starts to embrace the advantages of women to survive. This is definitely not a fall. But later she became depraved because she was too submissive, not resisting and not as smart as Sam, and didn't know how to protect herself, so she also died on the rules of her game in the end.
Delvin: A fuse character in the play, his self-righteousness kills him, and he is also the person who doesn't understand the rules of the game the most in a world without borders. It's good to hear that it's upright, but it's stupid to say it badly.

After the analysis, some of you may think it is right and some people think it is wrong, and I am just expressing my opinion.
Finally, let's talk about the depressing part of the show. Two aspects: On the one hand, Eva lost her teammates and went out, and the despair of dying like a no-man's world was depressing. The second aspect is that the humanity that these people gradually reveal in a world without borders also makes people feel depressing.
It is not the despair of Eva and Mickey that is most terrifying, but the inherent evil that people gradually reveal in this world without borders. The most terrifying thing is that this film reflects precisely our humanity, which is The most terrifying thing is not that they are bad, but that in a world without borders, they just went to the abyss and primitive. Think about it carefully, imagine what you would be like in that environment too?
