Really feel the American disco in the 1970s

Today, I went to the oldest theater in the United States to watch a musical, Saturday Night Fever. It tells the story of the 1970s and is full of disco feelings. Although I watched the movie of the same name before, there are still some dialogues that I don't understand very well. Probably talking about the confusion of the young people at that time and the way of life of people decades ago. The audience was full, and most of them were old people. Maybe it was because of that era that they had a good experience. Personally, I think the singing is particularly good, but the dance may be a little different from what is popular now. But for a musical, it's a classic, and it's a brand new experience.

The content of musicals is similar to that of movies, except that musicals mostly use songs and dances to express the inner emotions of characters.

Watched because of Bee Gees. It has a real sense of the times, just like when you listen to a song, you can easily judge the approximate age of its birth. All young people are "the lost generation". We are all blind and doing nothing but so far.

No matter the fat Travolta or the thin Travolta, they are all cute and cute Travolta! They also do line dance! It was just a year or two ago that the High School Musical dance, which was a must-have line dance in the club's big party, was gone forever.

Saturday Night Fever quotes

  • Bobby C.: I have a friend. He's a very good friend, and he got a girl pregnant. And I wanted to know: if you had to make a choice between getting an abortion and having to get married, what would you do?

Stephanie: Well, who would I have to marry?

Bobby C.: You'd have to marry me.

Stephanie: I think I'd get an abortion.

  • Flo: [to Tony as he walks in the house] Where you been?

    [he doesn't answer]

Frank Sr: Your mother wants to know where you been. Where you been?

Flo: Your father's askin' ya! Where you been?
