America in 1992 and China in 17

Finished a few scenes that appeared repeatedly in "The Nun and the Madness" again.

1. Prejudice. When DeLao first entered the monastery, she was reluctant to wear a nun's uniform and mocked her as "Penguin Skin", which made people laugh. The root of this is the prejudice and misunderstanding between people, who always feel that they are the best and the most right, and the other party is an idiot. But is this the case? We are road rage, we scold the delivery boy, we are homophobic, we bother elementary school students to play games, urban management illegally deal with small vendors, citizens resist the normal law enforcement of urban management, there are countless. You haven't integrated into the other party, how do you know the other party's persistence or you have long forgotten those sufferings you once had.

2. Faith. At the end, no one dared to kill the nun, which is the moral bottom line of American spirit and belief, but if the police did not arrive in time, maybe Vincent would really shoot, and the film did not let this scene happen. But reality is not always a comedy, killing a mother, taking a son to suicide, helping an old lady to be deceived, do we really lack some beliefs besides pragmatism? Even if our law is perfect enough one day, it may still not be able to guarantee a 100% correct rate. At this time, is there a force that can make this defect? In the United States, you can confess anything to the Father, and you will not worry about the sanctions of the law. You still have the opportunity to receive love, which the law cannot give.

3. Persistence. What impresses me the most about the whole film is not the ending, but the first time the choir performed, that kind of time when something that was not very good was made beautiful. It was really very touching, but the film lacked a nun. They are very hardworking and hardworking, in fact, this is the top priority. We only saw success, but what really moved us was not the superficial success, but the performance that made me see the hard work and hard work behind it. The same scene also appeared in "Madagascar 3", and "Horse" showed the hard work and persistence behind it more perfectly. What most of us lack today is persistence.

4. Help. The nuns had to make a plane to rescue DeLao, but the pilot refused at first because of money, and finally compromised after the moral kidnapping of the nuns. We have seen the funny and kind side, and we should also see the evil side. The nuns here still haven’t given enough money, and they haven’t even said that they owe money, so why should I help you? Suppose someone would use this to do bad things? Secondly, "Wonderful Flower" has discussed "Donating money to someone who has a way to go, is it stupid?" The film "My God" starring Aamir Khan also touched on this kind of problem. Aamir Khan helped a pair of He was a liar, but it did help him. So which one is more important, I didn't think of the answer. If there is a Taoist friend who has his own answer, please leave a message to me, okay, let me hear your point of view.

One of the repertoires performed by the university choir. I recently saw it on TV. The music is still full of appeal. It reminds me of the happy time of rehearsal. There are not many places where the plot can make people laugh crazy, but they are all Some knowing shots. The nuns are really godsend, especially the fat nuns who love to laugh, they will be in a good mood when they see her~

The music is really good. Let the deserted nun play this completely opposite song, and the effect is surprisingly good.

Sister Act quotes

  • Delores: [after Vince has sent Delores a purple mink coat] Well obviously Mr. LaRocca feels he can win me back by sending me this absolutely *fabulous* coat.

Michelle: Put it on, put it on!

    Tina: It's beautiful.

Delores: You see, some girls would fall for this but not me. I think I'll make him wait a while before I let him know that I...

    Michelle: What?

Delores: [Showing a monogram stitched into the inside of the coat] Connie LaRocca. It's his wife's coat. The man gave me his wife's coat.

    Michelle: I don't believe this.

Tina: Put it back on! It's yours now, you deserve it.

Delores: No, I don't *deserve* it, I haven't *earned* it. You don't *earn* other peoples wife's fur coats, okay? I think it's time to just go upstairs, give it back to him and get the hell out of this dump.

  • Delores: [at her first choir rehearsal, the choir sings a chord badly with Mary Patrick singing an octave above everyone else] Okay! Okay! Okay! Very nice!

    [to Mary Patrick]

Delores: Um, Sister, can you just slide over here, please? That's a powerful instrument you have there!

    Sister Mary Patrick: Thank you.

Delores: But I think it's probably a good idea if we bring you down out of the rafters, everybody wants to be close to God, I'm just not sure you can do it vocally, so I need you to sing an octave below where you've been singing.

    Sister Mary Patrick: Okey-dokey!

Delores: And Sister Mary Robert, can you just come, yeah, come on over. I noticed that you're moving your mouth but nothing's coming out so I'd like to hear just you by yourself if you don't mind. Sister Alma, can you give me an A please?

    [pause]

Delores: ALMA! Check your battery. Can you give me an A please.

[Mary Robert sings in a whisper]

Delores: Okay, try this. Close your eyes. Visualize yourself in room full of people, lots of silverware, people talking loud, dropping stuff, drunks, women with trays going 'whadda ya gonna have?'. Your voice has to carry across the din, you have to get up over all of that to be heard in the back of the room where I'm sitting, listening, straining to hear you. Okay? Keep that in your mind while we do this.
