As someone who has lived in Kowloon City for three years, I have a peculiar feeling when I see the cold and ambiguous street scenes in the film, which actually exist in my memory but after the alienation is like a dream. It strengthens the extremely textured emotions of the whole film: the paradoxical entanglement between existence and thinking is completed through memory.
