heartbeat

When you like me, I don't like you; when you love me, I like you; when you leave me, I love you; you go too fast, or I can't keep up Your footsteps... I watched "Pumping Heart" twice in a row, and it was really heartbreaking. A pair of children, a tree, a particularly simple story, telling the heart-wrenching story. The thing that strikes me the most is that girls have a detached sense of self-examination when they are 10 years old, and examine whether the person they love is worthy of love. Once it touches her self-esteem, she immediately decides to give up this boy. "Love" in our culture seems to be as low as the dust. It is love to give up self-esteem, and true love is to be humble. Pure and flawless love, keep the clouds open and see the moon, and the ending of the film is very beautiful. The boy brought a tree, the plane tree that the girl once loved deeply, and they planted it together in front of the door. In the end, the boy healed the girl's broken heart, and the plane tree became the eternal hope.

The ending is a little too hasty, but the process is that kind of fresh and wonderful! The momentary throbbing of meeting the right person was restored by the director, and the audience was once again pure and young, recalling the heartbeat of that year! ★★★★

I like this pure love. The male and female protagonists have been childhood sweethearts since childhood and grew up together. This romance is one of my favorites. The rating is less than nine points, it shouldn't be.

Flipped quotes

  • Juli Baker: [on why she's interested in Bryce] I guess it's something about his eyes... or maybe his smile.

Richard Baker: Well, what about him?

    Juli Baker: What?

Richard Baker: You have to look at the whole landscape.

Juli Baker: What does that mean?

Richard Baker: A painting is more than the sum of its parts. A cow by itself is just a cow, a meadow by itself is just grass, flowers... and the sun peeking through the trees is just a beam of light, but you put them all together... and it can be magic.

  • Bryce Loski: Flat, glossy, iridescent? What the hell did that mean? And Juli Baker had always just seemed plain to me. Until now.
