One day, the earth, the homeland of human beings, was violently attacked by aliens, and modern facilities and advanced technology were devastated. Human civilization seemed to return to the Stone Age all of a sudden. Casey (Chloe Grace Moretz) and her younger brother Sam (Zackary Arthur) lost their mother in the disaster. With his father Oliver (Ron Livingston Ron Livingston) came to the refugee camp for refuge.
Colonel Voss (Liev Schreiber) led the army to the refugee camp. They took the children and claimed that they would come back to pick up the remaining adults. Casey and Sam reluctantly left. Father. Sam's beloved teddy bear landed in the refugee camp, and Casey returned to find it, who knew that aliens had the ability to live in humans, causing unrest in the refugee camp. In the chaos, Casey and Sam are separated. In order to find his younger brother, Casey resolutely embarks on a journey full of dangers.
