sheer ignorance

I was dizzy in the middle of the night and felt that I didn't understand a lot of things. After reading the movie reviews, I sorted out an explanation that I thought made sense.

First of all, I also think that from the time when the male protagonist Chris landed on the island to the conflict with the ghost tricks, these plots are all his imagination in prison after he was imprisoned for shooting Xiao Tao.

Why did Chris kill Xiao Tao? It starts with the fact that he killed his sister. At the end of the film, we are told the fact that Chris had a German orthopaedic department, and there are hints and references to brother and sister disorder, but I think disorder is not the point, everything happened because Chris was a pedophile. Chris forced his sister to have sex with him because of his pedophilia, but the film also said that his sister had not resisted in the end, so why did he kill her? I saw a movie review saying that it was because my sister was pregnant that Chris wanted not to be found out, but I don't think so. The image of the younger sister in the film, as well as the juvenile voice of her speech before her death in Chris's recollection, all indicate that the younger sister died as a little girl who was not old enough to conceive. I think Chris wanted to kill his sister because he felt that her sister had started to develop and her body was gradually showing female characteristics. The innocent and pure sister wants to change from a girl to a woman, which is unbearable for the pedophile Chris, so he kills the sister.

At the beginning of the film, Chris enters the island by boat, and there is a floating body of a pregnant woman in the water, which is actually a hint of Xiao Tao. I think it wasn't Chris's sister who really died because of the pregnancy, but Peach. Xiao Tao is innocent and cute, and is Chris's substitute for the image of his sister. During the relationship, I think Chris probably really wanted to live with Xiao Tao at one time, and also had plans to bring Xiao Tao back to the United States. But after all, what Chris loves is not Xiao Tao, but the image of an innocent and cute little girl. So after learning that Xiao Tao was pregnant, Chris once again realized that the girl in his mind was actually a woman, and had the same disgust for Xiao Tao as he did for his sister back then. After that, Chris didn't go to Xiao Tao for a long time, and the pregnant Xiao Tao had to live a difficult life in Huajie, and had to shed the child. In Guiji's recollection, the image of a woman aborting and Xiao Tao's image when she was tortured, the rope and the piercing heart look somewhat similar. And the ghost trick in Chris's imagination is the child who was aborted. Because Xiao Tao is a substitute for his sister, Chris will think that the child they gave birth is a product of chaos and a freak.

Finally, when Chris saw Xiao Tao again, Xiao Tao was very excited and said that he had been waiting for him. But in Chris's eyes, Xiao Tao, who was pregnant, has lost her "girly feeling", and her heart is misplaced again, so like killing her sister, Chris finally killed Xiao Tao

(The point of view on pedophilia comes from a book in 010, and I don’t know what the real Lolita controller thinks, so the above are all my thoughts~
