silver linings Playbook

The film opens with themes—love, time, and death. Then, a story unfolds around this central idea. There is warmth in the mystery, heavy and a little messy.

This kind of subject matter is not pleasing, just like most people don't like hospitals, they are taboo to discuss birth, old age, sickness and death, although everyone can't escape. But if you have this personal experience, especially if you are of a certain age, you must have a different understanding of such issues.

Love makes time meaningful, death makes time extraordinarily precious, time ties life together, and time heals everything. These three concepts connect everyone on the planet. We long for love, we want more time, and we all fear death.

The film tries to give us a reason to live on in despair: to accept life, including pain and grief. Continue to live, you will always find new beauty and moving. After the unbearable pain is over, go to experience another kind of life, another kind of beauty.

The film stars two Oscar winners, Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren, and three Oscar nominees, Will Smith, Keira Knightley and Edward Norton. Such a cast lineup makes everyone's role not very heavy, and it seems messy, but it also happens to be in line with the triviality of life.
