A good movie without clichés about the meaning of life

Although I don't fully believe in this theory of past and present lives. But the brain hole of this movie really made me very emotional. I saw a comment before that the movie didn't clarify the meaning of life, but I don't think that's the case. The meaning it wants to express is that every life you exist, every choice you experience, is parallel. There are countless parallel and non-contradictory meanings in your life. Cherish this life or hate it. Whether you choose to try to live or choose to follow the afterlife and deny this life, these are the standard existences of countless you in parallel worlds. So what is the meaning of life? Follow the script that belongs to your life, respect your current character, current experience, and current growing environment, and be the most typical you in this world. The entanglement with whom, the contradiction with whom, how much entanglement, annoyance, expectation and regret are things you may or may not experience at the moment. Maybe there really is a force that can change the direction of space-time so that the otherwise parallel intersect.

The Discovery quotes

  • Thomas: Do you accept the fact that time is a nonlinear illusion created by man?

Isla: Pass. I don't know what that means.

Thomas: There are no right or wrong answers to this questionnaire.

Isla: Then why do you bother giving it?

    Thomas: That's a good response.

  • Thomas: [to the assembled group] We're programmed to process our experiences as having a beginning and an end, when, in reality... doesn't exist. It's just one long, drawn-out middle.
