Thrilling grey tones like "All Quiet on the Western Front" Very good war movie; watched the English translation in broken German English =V=

The World War II film from the German perspective is well done, and the reflection on the war is very profound. The depth of reflection on the war is beyond the reach of American and Soviet films depicting the Battle of Stalingrad. Well worth a look, and an answer to why Paulus' Sixth Army was unable to highlight the encirclement and rescue team rounds at Manstein, 56 kilometers away.

Stalingrad quotes

  • General Hentz: To sum it up, gentlemen... we're in deep shit.

  • Fritz Reiser: They say in Germany when you die as a soldier you are honored. That's something, isn't it? Siberia? Not for me. I'm cold enough.
