Hector, who has the life that most ordinary people expect, keeps repeating his life in such a life, over and over, over and over again. And the thing that happens to be similar to most of our lives is that we do the same over and over, over and over again.
He is a psychiatrist who sees many different types of patients, and he has everything that every ordinary person strives for, and has the perfect life that most people want. However, when he met a client one day, a very neurotic, different from other patients. The other patients were just sitting there and talking about themselves, but this one was more about talking about him. This woman, who is very much like a psychic, prefers to see her as an unforeseeable trigger point in people's lives, as if suddenly one day, there is a person or thing that makes you start to ask yourself, all this. In the end for what, if it is happiness, then where is it.
So Hector frowned and began to question his own life, he became angry, he began to lose his temper, and finally he began to transform. Do something you never wanted to do before, travel far away to find the meaning of happiness. And it was the various gaffes on the plane that made him the first person to meet, and brought him to see the happiness of wealth. A psychiatrist who is simply deranged but maintains high quality studying happiness is probably the only way to reasonably attract bankers.
First step, money
From here, the whole movie gets to the point, and he begins to be led by the banker to try food, try sex, satisfy his taste buds and satisfy his desires. At that moment, he felt very satisfied and seemed to have happiness. But it was the next day that he found out that it was just that the bank used money to find it for him, and felt deeply deceived.
In such a dazzling day, lust controlled his mind.
The second step, simply
He went to Tibet, trying to find the meaning of happiness there. The old man is someone who has seen through everything. He kept talking about himself to the person who opened the door for him, until he finally expressed that he was looking for happiness before being invited in by the old man. In most foreign movies, it seems that when you go to Tibet, Nepal has to show his perseverance in front of the door when he finds a master. This film is probably no exception, but a lighthearted comedy naturally doesn't need to write the protagonist kneeling in front of the door for days and nights.
And the old man who saw through everything, the only thing he was told to see was the wind horse flag blowing in the wind in the sun and laughing under it. When I can simply face the simple sunshine and smile, I will probably be happy.
The third step, suffering
Africa seems to be the easiest place to express a little bit, drug dealers, hospitals, sweet potato stew. The film wants to express too many sides, but the more it expresses, the harder it is to express it well. Africa in the movie seems to be all about the family, the drug dealer is unhappy because of his wife, the little boy is lying in the hospital bed trying to take care of his sister, and the sweet potato stew is more delicious because the whole family gets together. In the days of being kidnapped, the threat of his life made him constantly review his life, and the lone cell made sure this happened.
He kept looking back on his life, and finally found his former self. And in a place of suffering, people also have happiness.
The fourth step is to be yourself.
Out of danger, he was ecstatic and decided to go to the last stop, where his old lover was. On the plane, he listened to other people's beautiful review of himself, and also laid the foundation for what he is now. The former lover was not what he remembered, but he never forgot his goal and found happiness. Every step, every place, every stage, he thought he had found happiness.
1.Making comparisons can spoil your happiness. People who always like to make comparisons can't feel happiness. 2. A lot of people think happiness means being richer or more important. 3.Many people only see happiness in the future. 4.Happiness could be the freedom to love more than one woman at the same time. 5.Sometimes happiness is not knowing the whole story. Happiness sometimes comes from deception. 6. Avoiding unhappiness...is not the way to happiness. 7. Does this person bring you predominantly A) up or B) down? This person usually brings you happiness? Or pain? 8.Happiness is answering your call. 9.Happiness is being loved for who you are. Happiness is being loved for who you are. 10. Sweet potato stew! Eat a big pot of stewed potatoes! 11. Fear is an impediment to happiness. Fear blocks happiness. 12. Happiness is feeling completely alive. Happiness is feeling completely alive. 13. Happiness is knowing how to celebrate. 14.Listening is loving. Listening is loving. 15.
Finally in the professor's happiness machine, he recalled what he had experienced. When the former self expressed his love for his wife, he finally became the current self. Happiness appears in every corner, every place, along the journey, you can see all kinds of happiness, provided you are looking for happiness.
Along the way, he found himself from a long time ago, and became the current self through constant reflection on his experiences. He wants to bring the joy he had in that old love to the present, with someone within reach who can do it all with him. Since then, life has been added to the existence of love. The so-called love, I will bring you the happiness I once had, and I will also create happiness with you. Whether poor or not, whether suffering or not.
The movie never specifically says what happiness is, it's constantly changing, but it's no surprise that happiness can be seen almost everywhere.
PS: The theme that the movie wants to express is very big, and the description is so detailed that the plot becomes loose at the end and the logic of the story becomes weaker. It has always been extremely difficult to express something with depth in comedy.
And the most important thing about happiness is to be yourself.
It's called being yourself.
The first is to know yourself and know what you want. Like Hector, the last step before he touches happiness is to find the person he has always been looking for in his heart, the old love, the picture hidden in the drawer says it all. If he didn't want to, he could have told his wife the picture, framed it, and said it was a friend. The reason for hiding must be thinking.
The second is to find himself. Before Hector found himself, he found his past self. The lingering thoughts of the past brought him to his old love, and in the review of the happiness machine, he found himself.
Third, be yourself. When he expresses his emotions to his own Clara, he successfully expresses his emotions and successfully becomes himself.
We care about our parents, but few people will say I love you, and few people will give a hug, not those manners, but those expressions of affection with sentences and actions.
The so-called happiness is that I love you, and then I told you emotionally, I love you.
