David Lean's "Meet Too Late" deeply and delicately portrays a derailed woman, her joy, her hesitation, her self-deception and her moral torture.
Like Anna, we don't hate the protagonist, let alone accuse her of her behavior. Because they are just lucky and unfortunate to be captured by love.
The difference is that the heroine hesitated and did not jump into the rails like Anna. But it totally shocked us.
