Believe in religion or not? This is a problem

I'm still shocked...I didn't dare to believe what the former believers said. Later, Tom's performance on the platform at the conference was indeed a bit crazy, and I don't know if it was because Strong pressure controls the performance.

Thinking of the recent incident of sexual assault by priests, religion has a good side, but it is too convenient for a group that makes people completely dependent on spirituality to do bad things. "Religion is like room after room" and every room encounters people who come to that room. I often feel that among people who believe in religion, some are born to be influenced by the environment, and some are to seek inner peace. After all, there are too many things that cannot be explained by science, and what human technology sees is too small.

And if you are dominated by religion, it is a bit like giving your spiritual world to others to decorate. So, let’s just live in atheistic corridors and wait for technology to explain more.

A record of courage and order. Compared to Cruise, I only gradually learned about Scientology because of Leah Remini's continuous resistance and disclosure in the past three years. It can only be said that after watching it, I admire her courage even more, and I seriously doubt that the malicious messages and comments started by her several new shows were manipulated and controlled. However, seeing that she has resumed the pilot episode and still has a job, I feel that perhaps the power of this sect is not as strong as it used to be.

If the documentary is true, all I can say is that Kubrick is awesome. . . . .

Going Clear: Scientology & the Prison of Belief quotes

  • Paul Haggis: I finally get to OT 3 and they give me the secret materials, which I've been hearing about all this time. They're hand written by Hubbard. You'd have to keep them in a locked briefcase, be very cautious because they would always say if this gets out it's dangerous to people. It can actually do them harm if they are not adequately prepared. And I read it and it doesn't make any sense... I think, I remember for one fleeting second thinking well maybe it's an insanity test. Maybe if we believe this they kick you out. You know? Maybe you're insane! That of course is not the case. They talk about, you know, the fact that the earth was created, that such and such of trillions of years ago and this guy, who's this space guy... and put them in volcanoes and then blow them up with A-bombs... And we have these lost souls all over us and we have to get rid of them. And I'm going what the fuck are you talking about? I mean, I'm down for the self-help stuff. I'm down for, ok, I can be clear, I can, you know, I can get rid of those, the negative emotions, but what the fuck is this?

  • Lawrence Wright: Scientology really is a journey into the mind of L. Ron Hubbard and the further you get into it the more like L. Ron Hubbard you become.
