Viewing "Transparent Man"

Three and a half.

It may be a hobby for sci-fi horror movies. I watched this movie without investigating the background of the movie, and it also brought me some shock and thinking.

Before I talk about perception, let me talk about what I think of, an English short story I watched a few years ago, the invisiable man (invisible man), invisible and hollow, in fact, they all express the same meaning, which can be touched but People who cannot be seen. The novel is very simple. The protagonist is also a mad scientist. After successfully making himself invisible, he is blocked from returning to his original appearance. He uses his ability to avenge his betrayal and kill all those who stand in his way. He did eventually succeed in restoring himself, but at the cost of his own life. The ending of the protagonist in the novel also seems to foreshadow the tragic ending of Sebastian in the movie. The influence of invisible (transparent) people on society, as well as human nature, morality, and gender thinking reflected in the novel, are further amplified in the film's script.

The two central characters of the film, Sebastian (s) and Lin (l), are a scientific genius who thinks they are superior and despise other people and things like God; the other is a sexy stunner who relies on S The ability to rise to the top, and then fall back in the arms of s' colleagues. In terms of the plot, I won't go into details, but the male protagonist's feelings for the female protagonist are a dark line, and he has always been in love with her; although the female protagonist survived to the end, many of her actions are debatable: after breaking up, he has a deep love for the male protagonist. For his own future, he chose to let the male protagonist participate in the experiment. After the incident, he chose to seek support from the outside world (more to save the lives of himself and the second male). . . . . . pondering

The transition of the male protagonist in the movie is very natural. Becoming a transparent person means losing part of his freedom as a human being and needs to be monitored day and night, and he also wants to break this bondage, coupled with his ability to be invisible. His habit and desire to preserve himself led him to a point of no return. The death of the male protagonist is not an accident in itself. He is also a tragic character. His fanaticism and adventurous spirit led him to a dead end, and it was none other than the female protagonist who finally killed him in the sea of fire. The heroine took advantage of his fascination with her all the time. Although he shouted "bitch" to her during the fight the last second, he still loves her in his heart. This is also the most tragic part of the movie. People mourned. Some people may think that the heroine is ruthless, but thinking about it carefully, she did make the most rational and correct choice in the end, but such a choice is terribly rational.

It's actually pretty good, but the sequel sucks. Even the feeling of disappearing.

Hollow Man quotes

  • Linda: *You cracked the code*! 11 months, and you suddenly come up with it out of the blue. How?

Sebastian: The usual: coffee and Twinkies.

  • Matt: My 5th grade teacher told me, that "Genius is the ability to go from A to D without having to go through B and C." Sebastian can do that, but for me, I gotta have the B and C.
