The play raises many complex philosophical questions in an unusual and traditional way. Such as existentialism, slavery, destructive love relationships, suicide, social hypocrisy, substance abuse, science and religion. Many times the story says that a person in this infinite universe (and possibly infinite universes of time and space!) ends up being smaller than a speck of dust. Good, evil, righteousness and evil do not exist in the eyes of Rick, who is the most intelligent in the world. But his fourteen-year-old grandson who lacks self-confidence can see the beauty between people. For example, in the eighth episode of the first season, he used his own story to impress his sister and his decision in the second episode of the second season. .
Authors are very good at using cartoons to tell the stories they want to tell. Many times only cartoons can make that kind of scene and feeling. And the music is outstanding too! The second episode is the original goodbye moonmen (moonmen stands for human beings), the third episode has do you feel it? of chaos chaos, and the tenth episode has nine inch nails hurt.
This show is so dark, I'm really worried that the writers will kill themselves...
