At the beginning, the appearance of Grandpa's letter laid the foundation for the boy's initial impression that Grandpa was right and protected Grandpa's faction. In the competition, the group of people who met Robert also stood in line with Grandpa. At first glance, it seemed to be a black and white plot. Then my father appeared, opened the door to a new world, and things took a new turn. This matter was not black and white. Steamboy began to think that his father's Steam City was very powerful. But Grandpa's second appearance broke everything, and under his father's apparent obsession with science, he was able to make weapons of war. But what makes me happy is that steamboy is not directly biased by any party, but integrates into his own thinking: "What if my father is deceived by them." The development of things has always been a spiral. Until the exposition started, the team of Robert, who had trusted in the past, also had their own thoughts and wanted to get the ball and complete their own attempts. It's so true, the complex adult world. When he decided to take down the steam ball from Robert's studio and not let them use it, his heart had already begun to make his own choice. Like Grandpa said, you have to see with your own eyes.
Speaking of other characters. Miss is one of my favorites. The descriptions of the five mothers can probably infer her arrogant and independent background story. She said to Semen: "I can't lose," while looking for Lei persistently. But when she saw a real person in the machine, and when she saw the real blood, her reality was activated, just like a little girl dancing ballet in the exhibition hall. Her world has always come and gone. One thing to say, the world is probably the cleanest and most direct in her eyes, except for the filters of the wealthy and aristocratic family.
Simon, a typical businessman, used killing and war as a show to show foreign guests, until the last minute on the escape airship, he did not forget to sell, do you want to buy a steel city? Instead of rushing to escape, he slowly introduced the attitude of the escape boat, a real, refined one.
The handsome blond boy, forgot his name, devoted himself to science. He was very popular when he appeared on the stage, until he mentioned seeing Iron and Steel and gave up the idea of confrontation, maybe he can only be called a science idiot. Right and wrong have been blurred, and he is like a scientific lackey, practicing what he has in mind. Beautiful skin, big ambition.
Just as I myself have been trying to find some kind of objectivity, this multi-facetedness, and the persistence of myself, is invaluable. Thinking of "The Cry", the male protagonist killed his entire family because he had no firm belief and was shaken by different factions at any time. Establish a relatively objective worldview in the world you see and stick to it, that is your own freedom.
The director did not give an absolute answer. People say that this is the consequence of commercialization. It would be better to say that there is no answer.
