In the beginning, the photos of cats in the underground (love cats), and then the first food that they hunted by themselves were cats. The teacher asked her if you wanted a cat, "I already have one" and finally shared the photo of the cat with the teacher. I think that part of the movie compares the fate of humans to cats.
Although the director wants to personify the protagonist from the perspectives of humans and zombies, I think the reason why the ending is not very harmonious is that the description from the perspective of zombies is superficial. The desire to describe the little girl as an adult prevents the narrative from the zombie perspective.
I don't think the teacher is the Virgin Mary. She had already confessed that she "just didn't have time to get out" when she was drinking with the soldiers. And in the end she regretted it (tears at the end), but she accepted it anyway.
And I don't think scientists will be able to find a solution, and a vaccine may not be successful either.
The rat in the stroller is interesting.
The shots under the fire are very interesting.
