There is a little something but not enjoyable

This is probably the movie with the least lines I've ever seen. Silent people are terrifying, and long silent films are so deafeningly meditative, yet so boring. It's so boring to watch a bunch of characters who don't talk much tell a particularly simple story with their subtle blank faces. Impressively, the film's aptly matched soundtrack renders tense and suspenseful moments. As soon as I see this kind of "silent film", I hope that the protagonist will not be insane at the end. Fortunately, at least the heroine is normal, and other people are actually normal, but ordinary people who happened to have evil thoughts in their hearts died by chance. I didn't expect the female lead to be Frances McDormand. She is Joel Coen's wife. At first glance, she looks very similar. When you look at it again, it really is her when she was young. The sign is bulging lips. Her acting skills are still the same. It's good, but it's hard to have a chance for a female lead.

Blood Simple quotes

  • Abby: I said, "Marty, how come you're anal, and *I* gotta go to the psychiatrist?"

    Ray: What'd he say?

Abby: Nothing. He's like you, he doesn't say much.

    Ray: Thanks.

Abby: Except when he doesn't say things, they're usually nasty. When you don't, they're usually nice.

  • [grabbing Abby from behind after breaking into Ray's house]

Marty: Lover boy really oughta lock his door. Lotta nuts out there.
