It's not a tragedy that someone could have caused

Some people say that her husband Julian is the creator of this tragedy, but love is inherently selfish, especially in a triangular story with such a "rival in love", the selfish nature of love is unavoidable.

The love between the two young people was so beautiful at the beginning. Maybe it was the blonde hair of Julian's actor that I liked it. In short, as a bystander, I couldn't bear to break up this pair of mandarin ducks. Not just me, all the witnesses are, except the boss Lermontov. Lermontov refused the actress to have love from the beginning, and the same happened to the brunette girl at the beginning. Strangely, he doesn't exclude male actors from getting married and having children, hehe. Like Julian said, a lover would inspire him. With Vitch, Julian's talent for composition became more and more obvious, but Lermontov ignored it, and even said some hypocritical demeaning words. And from the beginning Lermontov was a plagiarizer of little-known composers, which made me never like him. Later, he also wanted to plagiarize Julian's works, even his love. Simply selfish to the extreme. In the middle of the story, he even used every means to create "random encounters" to separate the couple. I instantly thought that I had come to the theatre of the Qing Palace. No matter what kind of complicated feelings he has for Vicky, it is better to help others than to break them up, especially if they are two of his own. Julian didn't initially plan to use love as a threat to force Vicky off the stage, and neither would Vicky himself. They could have both love and career (maybe they can't reach the peak of their career with love, or they can't fully achieve the perfection of love for the sake of their career, but they definitely don't need to "completely" give up one of them). How can artists without love experience the warmth and coldness of the world? Love can also illuminate inspiration. Pursuing love is not only their instinct, but also a good opportunity to ignite their inspiration. But Lermontov ruined it all because of his monstrous possessiveness.

Julian's character has his unavoidable selfishness. It can be said that he is the fuse of this tragedy. After all, if it weren't for his last hardship, the heroine would not be so miserable. But he is definitely not the real source. Although I can't understand why he is so paranoid in the end, it's just that he is not the only one who is paranoid in this play. Everyone has their own selfish desires. It would be unfair to attribute the cause of the tragedy to him alone. In the end, he symbolized the executioner's removal of Vicky's red shoes, and Vicky's life came to an end. Love is a necessary condition for this tragedy to happen. Julian is the embodiment of "love" for the heroine. It is not so much Julian took off the girl's red shoes as "love". In the end, the director gave a close-up shot of the red shoes before Vicky committed suicide. It can be seen that the red shoes at that time had already begun to "demonize", pulling Vicky toward destruction (corresponding to the scene in the play). Maybe Vicky shouldn't have fallen so deeply in love in the first place, and prepared himself a way back so he wouldn't be so desperate. The tangled lustful love of the three of them dominates the tragedy, and perhaps destruction is the best destination for Vicky, because she can't give up love or either of her dreams. Likewise, Lermontov and Julian have lost everything they ever fought each other for.

Although love is the "original sin" of this tragedy, the love between Zhu Wei and Zhu Wei shown in the film is really beautiful and rich, which is unbearable. At the end of life and death, I couldn't see a trace of Vicky's blame for her lover, she loved Julian and the ballet shoes to death, but she was about to lose both.

In my opinion, this is just an artistic love tragedy movie. There is really no need to catch one of the characters and criticize it. It must be attributed to the fault, and even summed up a profound truth to deepen the theme of the film. Although I myself think that Lermontov was the direct cause of the tragedy because of my dislike of him, I would never say he was the culprit. "Red Shoes" is just a fairy tale after all, it is not a fable, to find out the root of evil and criticize it is prepared for fable-style preaching.

Finally, let’s talk about the advantages of the filming. I like the picture quality like the oil painting illustrations in the fairy tale book very much. It integrates the whole play with the ballet segment as a play within a play, and completes the ending. echo. The beauty of the ballet clips doesn't need me to bother, whether it is the ever-changing stage background and skirt colors, or some special editing shots with symbolic meaning, all of which are advantages that traditional ballet stages cannot have. After watching this movie, and then look back at the red shoes ballet segment, you will understand why this ballet took so long to describe, because it has already hinted the plot and ending clearly in it. A summary of the entire movie.
