Regardless of the cast, action, plot, special effects, sound effects, and environment, this movie can be called a blockbuster.
I try to be as objective as possible in my evaluation, because I've been a fan of Vin Diesel since 2002.
After seeing the comprehensive evaluation, I do feel that the rating given by the audience is a bit low. If you think this movie is 3 stars, do you think it is appropriate to give 4 stars to the pseudo blockbuster like "Havoc in Heaven"? According to this logic, should Paramount's active performance in recent years be a movie with an 8-star review?
First of all, I don't think this is the work of an experienced and established production team, but this production team is very attentive. Although it gave a blockbuster-level evaluation, you can see that this production team may not be as rich as imagined. Wouldn't it be appropriate for a modern Witch Hunter to have an airplane as the first scene? The answer to this question is probably determined by the production cost, right? Besides, the final duel venue is an open space in the suburbs, which is probably also determined by the cost? Many places where special effects should be used must be brought by actors through their acting skills. Too many montages are used in the narrative of the plot, which affects the fluency of the plot expression. The entire length of the film is divided into parts and whole. The resources that can show the production team are limited, and as far as I know, Vin Diesel is not cheap.
But despite this, I still feel that this is not a work that was released quickly in a short period of time. Almost every shot of the film has been screened, and for a young team, this is inevitable. But even if he is young, he is more experienced than the first-class teams in China. For example, Lao Pao'er and Director Feng's films have repeatedly screened a lot of scenes, and many clips have been cut and pieced together, not just one click. Including Party A and Party B, these powerful domestic teams are still at the same level as this production team, and those many idol teams are even more incomparable.
Within the limited resources, this film at least brings us distinct characters, gorgeous battles, and an almost smooth plot (the quality of the ending is a bit off the rails), not to mention Vin Diesel's acting skills (the fans' words are not objective), but don't The actors are also very involved. The scene is not gorgeous but not shabby, the music is not a world famous song but it is not unpleasant, although the plot has not been able to separate very complicated contradictions and harmony, but at least there are at least 3 layers. In the movie, it is not easy to combine so many elements without feeling abrupt.
But what I don't understand is why the havoc in the heavens narrates a lot of things, and the original things that have almost nothing to do with havoc in the sky when they are mixed together can get 4 stars, and this movie is justifiably placed here. But 3 stars. Well, I also gave 3 stars to Havoc in Heaven, but not for the movie, but for Xiao Dan who had been basking in the sun for months with his monkey hair on. Passing it for that, the movie itself, I rated it "very poor" and gave it 3 stars.
Desperately writing reviews is nothing more than wanting to see better works, and watching movies is a pleasure. I also hope that Vin Diesel will continue to cheer, this team is still young and needs more opportunities.
