A feast of visual beasts - the look and feel of "The Great Wall"

Congratulations to Director Zhang Yimou! Relying on the golden lion and golden bear's skills, he has successfully entered the list of Hollywood second-rate monster blockbuster directors! The whole film is tense and orderly, with five square teams and six stages showing artifacts such as the Great Wall, banging arrows, Kongming lanterns, drum bands, gunpowder and other artifacts of our ancient civilization. Especially at the end, the joint performance of Chinese pole diving female athletes and foreign archery male athletes is a perfect match. This year's performance is generally good and united, but some foreign friends' attempts to steal gunpowder during the performance ceremony have been shameful failures! In the end, we amicably gifted some gunpowder to foreign Youren'er as a souvenir - I didn't expect that the ungrateful foreign devils would use these things to bully us after many years, and the conscience was greatly damaged.
To tell the truth, the story of this film is really boring. I was expecting that at the end, General Jing Tian could teach foreigners a lesson on behalf of China, telling them that gunpowder is the murder weapon, and the sage used it as a last resort. In the end, it's over after the monster fight... Except for the two foreign protagonists, Andy Lau and Zhang Hanyu (the two are the soy sauce who has a show in the whole process and the soy sauce who has a show in the half way), the other actors can all score 0 points - it's not that they don't work hard, it's really no drama , all paper characters.
The special effects and scenes are really lively and expensive, and it is a sea of people and animals! But after reading a few paragraphs, I feel a little tired. The style of this big fish and meat is even better than that of "Golden Armor". It is simply a colorful version of "War of Gods"... It makes me a little indigestion. The shape, habits, organization, and communication methods of gluttonous food are all too westernized, and it is quite contrary to the symbols of the forbidden army, the Great Wall, and the imperial palace. The way to eliminate gluttonous at the end is also a bit simplistic, and the last battle is very sloppy.
It really is a second-rate monster blockbuster with a decent story (the rhythm is not bad, at least not procrastinating), the characters are bland, and the special effects are lively and gorgeous. You may not be too disappointed if you want to go to the cinema to watch a lively one, it is okay to pass the time, and there will be no more.
Oh, yes, the 3D effect is quite obvious, you can shoot arrows and throw guns at the audience at every turn, reminding you that 3D money is well spent!

PS.
1. After watching this film, a bunch of Hollywood blockbuster names came to mind: "The Seventh Son", "The Mummy 3", "War of Gods", "Wrath of the Gods", "The Last Son of the Wind", "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", "Shocking" "God of War", "Percy Jackson and the Thief of Fire", "Son of Zeus: Hercules", "Underworld 4"... (I like some of them)
2. Jing Tian didn't make any special appearances this time. Just generally stay, generally no acting skills! The English lines are quite slippery, quite the taste of middle school English. Junior high school students can use this film as an English conversation practice. By the way, the Chinese subtitles of the English dialogue of this film are very strange, it seems that it is not a translation, most of the time the corresponding Chinese subtitles do not reflect the English meaning!
