love not you

Another wonderful low-budget movie that I haven't seen for a long time, but I don't know how to define its genre. I saw this movie in two recommended lists, one is "brain burning" and the other is "love"... The most controversial It should be the end of the film. I tend to believe that the real heroine is the one who escaped. She has changed, so she is willing to make bacon for the male protagonist that the male protagonist was not allowed to eat before. The change once again aroused the suspicion of the male protagonist. It feels that after all the hardships, everything has returned to the original point with the momentary gloomy expression on the male protagonist's face. This is what really makes people shudder. As for the psychological hints of this film, there are actually quite a few: we may not fall in love with someone, but just the person we hope to fall in love with. Well, it's not you that I love.

It's really good, but I understand the ending is actually the fake heroine who escaped. In fact, there is no true or false hero or heroine, it's just the two of them, it's just the multi-faceted personality of the human being

The sense of confusion provides interesting assumptions that what we mean by "the right time" may not mean the time that can be measured in reality, but the internal time of growth experience, etc. The more you think about it, the more you feel that this is very hopeless. In reality, a perfect fit will not exist and have to accept the status quo

The One I Love quotes

  • [first lines]

Ethan: [retelling] So, we met at a party, and... it was magic. Within a half-hour we were driving up into this really nice neighborhood, and we were running down the stairs of some strangers back yard, and then we were swimming, and we were in love. What we didn't count on was that even though the lights were off, the owner of the home was there. And he came out screaming at us, and it was the greatest night of my life.

    Ethan: Ready?

EthanSophie: [they run and jump into the pool]

Ethan: [continuing his story] So me idea was, you know, let's try and re-create that moment.

  • [Ethan and Sophie sneak into a swimming pool]

Sophie: Do you think he's coming out?

Ethan: I'm sure. I'm sure. He heard us, right?

    [Calling for house owner]

    Ethan: Hello?

    [to Sophie]

Ethan: This is fun. Where is he?

    Sophie: Maybe he's not home.

    Ethan: Happy anniversary anyway.
