the other side of life

Reviews are just personal feelings.
In fact, I was at a loss when watching the whole movie, not because I didn't understand the plot, but because I couldn't understand every action of the heroine. Until the last words she said at the tomb: "I just want to find someone to sleep with."
Suddenly realized.

Why did I understand who the rapist was and continued to pester him, and even took the initiative to have sex with him in the basement.
Why are you entangled with your best friend's husband? After going to bed, you stress that we are just friends in the future.
Why is it that the company likes me? The male colleague who made the video took off his pants on the grounds of not being fired, probably just looking for a new sex partner.
Even a woman who previously left because her husband moved his hand can now actively embrace a rapist who is only sexually motivated when abused, just because she wants to have sex.
The film revolves around this theme and it strikes me as very confusing and incomprehensible. Only with "this is a French film, other people's culture is different" to explain.

Probably because I didn't get the dark humor, there wasn't a single shot that made me laugh, it was just confusing...and sad at the end.

Fortunately, the heroine has changed and grown. He took the initiative to make a clean break with two of the men who were entangled, and his ex-husband also broke up with his new love. So the relationship becomes monotonous and neat again.
The heroine's parents died one after another, so her resentment and hatred slowly subsided, and finally she was able to visit them in the cemetery.
The most gratifying thing is the change in her treatment of her son. At first she was hostile to her son's girlfriend, and she often wanted to intervene in the relationship and let her son leave his girlfriend. But when her son suddenly appeared at her house with her child in her arms one day, she suddenly realized that the girl's complaint about her son was right, and she no longer had the ability and energy to interfere in the lives of these two people. She lifted her hatred of girls and began to really help her son, not by giving money at the beginning and humiliating him.
Because of her encouragement and help, the son planned the party and began to believe in his own abilities. At the end of the film, a jeep was earned, and the family was very harmonious.

So back to healthy and simple relationships.
Walk away with your best friend.
I don't think this has anything to do with feminism. It's just a story about a person who was played around by sexual desires and did a lot of ridiculous things, and finally got a little sober at the end. Sexual assault is just one part of it.
The film may be bold and contains many elements that people are afraid to discuss in public, but it is still unpleasant.

Michèle Leblanc: What does that mean, "good in bed"? I never knew.

  • Michèle Leblanc: Richard, would you say I'm tight for a woman my age?
