The Grand Duke of Kievan Rus once sent envoys to visit Rome and Constantinople. When he saw the extraordinary Hagia Sophia, he sighed, I don't know if it was in heaven or on earth. The film 1453 truly restores the appearance of ancient Constantinople. In particular, the chairs and wine glasses of the Eastern Roman emperors at the beginning are simply historical restorations. Especially worth mentioning is the sound effect. When the pope appears, the soundtrack is really realistic. Although the plot is a little dull, it is one of the best textbooks for learning history.
