Shen Jiake: Goodbye, Spielberg's loneliness

It may be difficult for you to imagine that what a loner is looking for is actually another lonely heart. Not the people in the crowd who especially enjoy the lively.

Just like a brokenhearted person, finding another new lover immediately will not heal. Instead, he will find solace in another lovelorn. This is also called sympathy.

The movie "Dream Realizing Giant" is a kind-hearted giant who will never die of old age, and an orphan who lost his parents, fulfilling each other's story.

Spielberg once made a movie "Artificial Intelligence" many years ago, a little robot boy, who can never become a human child, without the true love of his mother. In that movie, I saw the extreme loneliness that Spielberg can present.

This time, I reunited with this loneliness after a long absence.

When the dream-fulfilling giant found those lonely children in this world, he found company. Once upon a time he found a little boy, but unfortunately the boy was eaten by the giant carnivores. This lonely old man, dressed in a black cloak, shuttled through the world at night, walking all over the streets and alleys like a ghost.

Later he found Sophie. He can hear the voices of ants, he can hear the tiniest movement in his heart, that's why he can dream. Blow those golden dreams, or terrifying nightmares, into the heads of adults and children.

In the vast sea, the nose of a lonely person can smell the breath of the same kind from a distance. Because the smell is similar, it is destined to meet.

After finding Sophie, the dream-fulfilling giant didn't want to repeat the same mistakes. His last buddy, the little boy, suffered misfortune, and if he sent the boy back to safety, he wouldn't be eaten.

He wants to send Sophie back to the orphanage, but Sophie cannot do without the giant. She still follows the giant of the dream, and accompanies each other.

On the island of giants, the meat-eating giants have big arms and round waists, while the dream-fulfilling giants who eat the big-nosed melon are like a weak chicken. Meat-eating groups and vegetarians are doomed to be incompatible.

Sophie, who lost her parents, echoed in her heart that she wanted someone to accompany her. Loneliness is scarier than death. So the young Sophie, risking her life, accompanies the giant to dream together.

How many confidants can you have in this world? Actually one is enough. But it happens to be just like this, you have nowhere to go when you step through the iron shoes.

Carnivorous giants are hungry for their stomachs, and dream-fulfilling giants are hungry for their hearts. Meat-eating giants steal children to eat, described as fragrant human beans.

What about the dream giant? He and Sophie feed each other's minds.

Everyone has the potential to fall into the minority. Congenital defects, acquired diseases, natural disasters, sudden wealth, occasional misfortunes, and epiphanies of thought will all bring about sudden changes.

If you are born in the minority, you have only two paths, one is to integrate with effort, and the other is to self-exile.

The road to integration is very painful and requires self-destruction. But the part of your self that you give up will be exchanged for a better and longer life, until you are seven or eighty.

The road to exile is equally painful. Your heart has always been stimulated by loneliness, no matter if it is loud or silent, your world is always only you. The most terrible thing is that the loner actually longs for someone to understand his loneliness, longs for the fit of a certain person, and the soul is hungry.

A personified religious god, no matter how lofty spiritual beliefs are, cannot replace a specific person. until some kind of ritual is done.

Sophie came up with an idea to let the good-hearted giants dream for the Queen of England, seeking the queen's trust and help, and finally transferring all the carnivorous giants to isolated islands at sea for physical isolation. Anyway, these meat-eating giants are most afraid of water.

Before dispatching the army, the queen hosted a banquet for the dream-fulfilling giant and Sophie. Sophie also grew up as Sophie instructed how giants should bow, how to drink coffee and hold cups, and how to speak to humans.

The most important benefit of growing up is that in the process of taking care of others, you are no longer completely immersed in loneliness.

The dream-fulfilling giant has been bullied by the flesh-eating giant and cannot protect his beloved little friend. The death of that little boy was his nightmare, filled with grief and remorse. Until he stood up to save Sophie, he gained courage and was reborn.

The dream giant and Sophie can no longer live together, just like adults and children always have their own worlds. Fortunately, although confidants say goodbye, friendship will last forever.

Whoever has tasted true loneliness deeply in childhood will remember the taste of loneliness for the rest of his life. Then, doubly strengthen the rare warm companionship in memory, and doubly live with a huge sense of loneliness.

This cannot be defined by luck or misfortune. The only thing that is different from the past is that when you grow up, you will gradually accept all this.

Lying on the windowsill, Sophie could miss the Dreaming Giant, just like she knew that the Dreaming Giant would miss her too.

It looks good, not as bad as some comments

Those soda drinks that are bubbling upside down, the glass bottles that store dreams, the inverted lakes with aurora stars used to catch dreams, the brass trumpets used to blow dreams, the kind-hearted hut with a tree-hole sailboat waterfall, through technology Children leave fond memories of growing up. The director has left precious artistic memories for history, and also turned book illustrations into dreamlike images for children. The switch between big and small is dizzying, and maybe the dreamer, Douzi, will eventually become a giant.
