-Hur's good friend Messara, who grew up with his foster mother, defected to the Roman army , and after fighting around, all the way to Jerusalem.
At this time Ben-Hur, the fanatics who took in the war with the Roman Empire laid the groundwork for Ben-Hur's tragedy.
Messala asked Ben-Hur to ensure his safety when the Roman emperor entered Jerusalem.

When the Roman emperor passed by Ben-Hur's mansion,

if he said Messala, why did he frame Ben-Hur? As far as the film expresses the fanatical and barbaric desires of the Roman Empire, intercession is basically useless.
Is it to let Ben-Hur sit down to conspire against the crime, or to plead for the Ben-Hur family.
In that era of the lawless, we can't blame anyone.
Messala made a multiple choice question.

The Ben-Hur family was split because of this, and Ben-Hur was treated as a slave to start mining gold, five years later. From the noble master who faced the rudder, to the middle-aged uncle, Ben Hur's reason and hatred supported him to look for any chance of escape and victory. When defeat was inevitable and the ship might be submerged, Bin Hur Xu relied on his mouth to escape, and inspired the other helmsmen to escape from the battlefield. In the end, only Ben Xu was rescued by the merchants in the business.

When Messala learned that the Roman fleet had failed to attack and the entire army was annihilated, he was stunned at that moment. Was he guilty of his brother or was he relieved? Can Messara go back in time? Hatred and inner guilt make everything sink into a deeper hell.

Wisdom's big brother Morgan Freeman,,, saw him in an instant.
Ben-Hur found his wife, and then found Messara. The latter met in a dilapidated old house. Messala insisted that your whole family died. After five seconds of hand-to-hand combat, the Roman Empire would lead the team over.
In the end, a section of meeting with his mother and sisters was added. Ben-Hur's mother and sisters were locked in a small dark room and got a twist... Ben-Hur was beaten by his family, which further deepened Ben-Hur's hatred, and also for the later Ben-Hur forgives Messara's greatness and lays the groundwork. The
wise elder brother Idiam sees that Ben-Hur is eager for revenge, and provides Ben-Hur with Messala a chance to fight to the death in the Colosseum.
In the wind and dust, people were indifferent at the beginning, and finally indulged in the terrible group effect, and began to praise the victors who survived the cruel duel.

The Roman emperors said I lost, but they all became my people.
Ben-Hur was raised to congratulate, but his warhorse fell, and he tried to grab something, whether he wanted to stroke his beloved horse again, or to hug his brother, in Messara.
That kick, although he stepped on it, was also due to Mesara's last-minute hesitation, and the ending turned upside down. Every poor person should have his own difficulties. Some people can let go, and some people need to be forgiven.

Those Romans said that the presence of Jesus was the greatest threat, and when religion spread was out of step with class domination, religion was the natural victim.
Jesus was the same as when Ben-Hur was condemned, he fell on the street with a wooden frame and was overwhelmed, while Ben-Hur did what Jesus did to Ben-Hur at that time, feeding him water.
When Ben-Hur held a stone and was about to confront the Roman soldiers who lashed him, Jesus stopped Ben-Hur from throwing a new revenge.

Finally on the cross, Jesus said,
Father, forgive them. For they do not know what they are doing, Ben-Hur was moved by the spirit of Jesus not remembering hatred, but interceding for the world, and fell to his knees, weeping.
Is this cry for the sorrow of Jesus' departure, or the pain of breaking up the family and the family because of falling down for Messara, or the remorse of becoming an avenger because of hatred? Forgive Ben Hur in the rain and find a warm place for the cold world. At that moment, countless images of great women in my head were finally transformed into the Virgin Mary.

Finally Ben-Hur stretched out his hand and let go of the hatred.
In the end, Messala let go of her hatred and created hatred for herself.
Because of Ben-Hur's forgiveness, the miracle also healed Ben-Hur's mother and sister's twists (by the way, their appearance was restored....)
The two re-run in the wilderness. Like in the title they are running in the wilderness.

The first 1 hour and 45 minutes was still an entertainment blockbuster of bloody revenge, and the crucifixion of Jesus in the next 10 minutes instantly turned into a religious film that redeemed the world. It was impossible to watch it 10 minutes after the mainland version was introduced.

Without comparison, there is no harm.

Ben-Hur quotes

  • Jesus: Hate, anger, fear. Those are lies they use to turn you against each other. When you set aside the hate they force you to carry, that's when you know love is our true nature.

  • Judah Ben-Hur: [to Dismas] How many Romans do you even know? Have you ever had a conversation with a single one in your life? Don't spit your hate for all when you don't even know one.
