Whether Gaspard sold his teammates or not is uncertain.
The only certainty is that the warden is an old fox. He has dealt with prisoners all the year round, and as the head of a prison, it is easy to see through a young "naive" like Gaspard, so he arranges him into the [serious] room. In the end, Gaspard was offered tea and said that his wife's withdrawal of the complaint might have been a deception.
"The warden has to talk to someone every day." This sentence is very eye-catching, and the cunning of the warden is evident. Based on this, you can fully assume that the 2-hour conversation was also intentional.
Based on the series of expressions and mental activities of Gaspard at the end, you have reason to be suspicious of any kind, it just depends on which one you are willing to believe. Different people have different interpretations of this, which is the wonderful thing about this film.
