Love, simple; simple is love.
What a person sees in the world, what language he will use to interpret the world. This is something I have always believed in. In this "Love Simple" filmed by director Daniel Ribeiro, I can feel a touch of tenderness in the director's heart. I think Daniel must be a gentle person.
This film is full of life, language, plot, and even emotion. Maybe it's a little strange for me to use the mundane, seemingly emotionless word to describe this movie. But this film gives me the feeling that it is life-like, without too many routines. It's so normal, it seems to happen all the time. Maybe because of this kind of life, the expression of the characters' emotions is more delicate. There are not so many dramatic plots.
In the film, Ga kisses Leo at k's party because of its life-like nature, but his inner turmoil makes him choose to avoid this topic. Although Leo is blind, he bows his head and is at a loss, and he can express the details of what he is playing with. Leo fell in love with it. Later, when everyone was camping together, Ga and Leo were embarrassed in the bathroom because of the sneaking and escaping eyes. Good risk, Daniel didn't enlarge this detail, because like is like. Afterwards, Gi's god assists, Ga goes to visit Leo who is sick, and expresses his love. In the end, Ga and Leo were at school. Leo held Ga's wrist and then held Ga's hand. When they were Ending, the two of them rode together. The scenes in this scene are so life-like, that is, very ordinary and simple.
And the friendship between Gi and Leo expressed in the movie is also very common. I think it is in such commonness that we can resonate with each other. I'm jealous is jealous, I don't like it, I don't like it, and to fall in love with you is to fall in love. I especially like this emotional expression of what is what. Life is like this, what happens is what happens, we need to solve the need to communicate, our friendship is still there. No matter who you fall in love with, I support you. This friendship is undoubtedly enviable.
Daniel can create such a film, this kind of tolerance for the same sex, I think it is inseparable from his living in an environment like Brazil, maybe because Daniel himself is a homo, so love seems so simple. In 10 years, despite the opposition of the church, the Supreme Court of Brazil allows you gay couples to enter into marriage; in 2013, Brazil became the 15th country to legalize gay marriage in the world; Brazil also has a special feature: the world's largest gay country, and Brazil's laws prohibit it Discrimination, the scope of prohibition includes (race, gender, disease, homosexuality)... In the film, the first time F laughed at Leo for having a new boyfriend, Leo angrily picked up the blind pole, he didn't think F I'm laughing at him as a homo, but I think everyone laughs at him because he's blind, and the people around him don't think it's wrong. Of course, F doesn't really laugh at him as a homo, and he doesn't know if he is. But even with such details, I also feel that it is really warm to Homo, and at the end of the film, when a group of young men said that the relationship is so good, when Leo held Ga's wrist to hold Ga's hand, I was thinking at that time, it's so warm, so happy, so Su, and normally, I think everyone will show disgusted expressions, but F and a few people just laughed and F got played a wave. It is because in such an environment, homo is not the strange thing that everyone thinks. So there are such warm details.
Perhaps, the film is too beautiful, the reality is so cruel.
In 2014, there were still homophobes who were murdered in Brazil for admitting their identity and
watching a movie, not only to understand a country, not only to understand a culture, but more importantly to understand our society, and to constantly improve our society. There are still many vulnerable groups who need warmth, and they are just like us. I am very grateful for this movie, what I learned is to interact better with others, instead of classifying people into categories and fighting against a group of people.
In the next few decades, they will still have to fight against many people. I hope there will be more works like this, which will evoke the kindness in people's hearts.
