People tend to evaluate others on the surface, but they are unwilling or even feel that there is no need to deeply understand others' hearts. This is human instinct. Just like everyone praises Margo's friend's beautiful face, but ignores her smart mind, but what she hopes most is that others can discover her different interesting thoughts through the appearance. The same is true of Margo. In the eyes of everyone, she is an irreplaceable miracle. In a cheesy way, she is a goddess-like existence. But no one has ever discovered the fragility and confusion in her heart. She is just a girl.
A little detail in the film touched me very much. On the top floor of the building, overlooking the whole city, Margo said that everything is not beautiful in close contact. Quentin retorted, you are not. What a romantic and subtle confession.
If you understand a little more, you will find that the most charming thing is never the perfect appearance, but the real, albeit flawed soul.
