I thought I could see a lot of Wall Street work in the play, but it didn't. It's just a series of things that happened after a fund manager with rich investment experience made the right investment in front of the opportunity, unexpectedly, the investment failed. You can't learn much financial knowledge from this film. On the contrary, there is the color of "financial demonization". Evaluating whether something is right or wrong should not be judged by the result, but by the process. The entire investment process, the analysis of opportunities, and the handling of potential risks are all very professional and correct. In the end, the accident is just an accident. But after the accident, the test of human nature in the face of failure is the theme of the play. The male protagonist chose to hide from the sky and cross the sea, but there were frequent accidents in the middle, and in the end, there was no danger, and he kept his position and reputation. It was a very unexpected ending. The bad guy died naturally, but I think this is the theme that the director wants to convey: don't be confused by appearances, there is so much filth behind the scenery. Just like at the beginning, the male protagonist first said the warm words to the family, "It takes 60 years to know that the family is the most important", then turned around and immediately hugged his mistress and kissed wildly. The detective even forged evidence in order to extract a confession. It’s no use guessing right, and in the end, the acquirer actually knew that the acquired company was making fake accounts, but after a delay, the price was lowered and the deal was still made. The profit account really has its own algorithm. I really like the portrayal of characters in American movies. They are rich and multifaceted. They are not black and white in domestic dramas. In fact, the coexistence of good and evil is the real human nature. Finally, I would like to praise the male protagonist and his wife. The husband can endure cheating, but if he hurts his children, he immediately fights back and protects the calf deeply. Maternal love is indeed the greatest and most selfless emotion in the world.
