Simple and profound

I feel conflicted after reading it.
From a superficial level, the whole movie revolves around the story of the adventures of brothers and sisters, encountering many elves in the middle, saving them, and returning to their original homes. So it is suitable for children to watch.
But in a deeper sense, I don't understand it very well. Metaphorically and suggestively, the protagonists symbolize something special. This makes the film more than just an animated film for children. However I didn't get it.
In comparison, I prefer animations like The Little Prince that are purely healing.
