It's not a complete biopic, but it does a good job of Kafka. The film begins with the disappearance of one of his few friends. The director takes us step by step to gradually understand Kafka. As Kafka has called off his engagement three times in this film, he also insinuates Kafka many times. His works, such as castles, trials, verdicts, and some famous quotes... When Kafka entered the castle, the picture changed from black and white to color, which was like his delusional world. As Kafka said in the film, he described these ...and the director used this color shift to express Kafka's absurd fantasy world. Maybe Kafka also only has fantasy worlds in color.
The truth that the film draws out step by step is so cruel, this dark, corrupt politics is also often metaphorical in Kafka's work. I haven't read Kafka's work, and in my opinion this work not only expresses "Kafka" very well, but also is not as boring as a traditional biopic.
