-I don't love my wife.
she was a good woman.
-I don't love Carl. I know he is a good man.
The hero and heroine talk to each other, the heroine asks the man: Then why do you want to get married? A: Maybe it's because it's easy...
The same is true for many of us. When we reach the right age, we meet a similar person and think: That's it. And I never asked if this was the person I wanted, the life I wanted to live. Gradually, the unsatisfied heart loses its emotional capacity, just like the male protagonist who witnessed his wife being killed by his side, but only cares about the blood stained on the shoes and the package of m&m that the vending machine did not spit out. Even at his wife's memorial service, he saw relatives crying and felt that he should grieve too. He went to the bathroom and tried to squeeze some tears out but failed...
So, find your heart, get out of your usual life, and put yourself The perfect house demolition, cutting the cocoon that binds you. The bravest boy in the film is the little boy. He smokes and plays rock. He contradicts the teacher and expresses his political views. He comes out to the male lead. Finally, he says: Being true to yourself is a bit painful, but it's cool.
The whole film is not lacking in sound, but instead it is like a silent film, so empty that the sound is swallowed up, until the male protagonist walks out of his inner cage and feels the bits and pieces of his wife's life, until he builds it for his wife. The warm carousel park, as she did before her death, cared for special children. When the little boy let the male protagonist release himself, and finally ran among a group of children, the voice returned to us.
so, follow your heart.

Demolition quotes

I find I'm suddenly filled with... wait... Overwhelmed by... a growing sense of curiosity. What are in these bags? I wanna know what these people can't do without for four days in buffalo. I wanna go through every one of them and dump their shit in a huge pile.

Davis: And the national guard guy? I wanna hold his gun. I wanna protect my country.

  • Karen: [on the phone] I'm sorry again, mister Mitchell. This is so unprofessional.

Davis: Customer service is a profession?
