Barely passing unsatisfactory works

Alas, I can only barely give a pass, after all, the original script is very good.
I think there are several unresolved contradictions in this film: First, how do the two parts of the story show the theme of deadly jokes in series? Second, for most of the friends who are not familiar with the original work, how can it reasonably reflect that Director Gordon has been tortured and still stands firm? Third, how to maximize the use of the original work and restore the original work?
Many people estimate that after watching this film, they only think that the clown is perverted and pitiful, but they cannot understand the deep meaning of the original work. It is recommended to make up the original book again, so as not to discredit the original book because of this film.
In fact, as a diehard fan of the old master, I have a lot of expectations for this film, but I feel a little disappointed after watching it once.
