Even if you don't succeed, don't give up your love.

Jon is such an innocent young man. He just doesn't realize that his talent is limited and has been dreaming "great". On this road of youth that has not yet woken up, he invested a year, spent all the property left to him by his grandfather, and stayed with this strange band in the forest for a whole year. He was stabbed with a knife, and he had to bear the name of hurting Frank, and was scolded by the audience.

In my opinion, the real loveliness may be jon, whose efforts are closer to mortal, sleeping in a light dream, although a little less self-aware, but at least desperately invested.

If you carefully comb through the film, you will find that the three keyboard players who have left before and after seem to have something in common. The one who hanged with the mask of frank played small music with jon, laughing at himself that his talent was limited. They can only play a band nanny behind the scenes. When the band finished the album, the lost eyes of the keyboard player No. 1 gradually enlarged in the movement of the camera. As far as I understand, the lonely man murdered his music dream. (Hang that dream of being frank on a tree)

The reason why I like this movie is that it tries to get rid of the routine of successful learning, does not put the band on stage, does not make people crazy, and does not have the spotlight. The director gently smashed Frank's paper skull, allowing you to see his tears. The band is going back to the little corner, and Jon crosses the viaduct, leaving only a farewell back.

Love, please start from the original intention. Simpler. Don't expect too much success in the end.

The same is true of the movies "A Hundred Dollars of Love" and "Booming Drummer". I feel.

Frank quotes

  • Jon Burroughs: Miserable childhood. Mental illness. Where do I find that kind of inspiration?

  • Frank: I've always dreamed of one day having a band member who shared my vision of creating extremely likable music. So, thank you, Jon. You gave me the little push I needed.
