Comments:
Each bird is vivid and typical, interesting and impressive. The protagonist of the first act is very successful, and people can completely empathize with Fat Red. The details are exquisitely done, and the lines and body language are full of small humor, which is very lively.
However, starting from the second act of Pig Invasion of Bird Island, Fat Red's inner drama was broken, and Fat Red also became a heroic image of Gao Daquan, losing the unconventional, cute and real ruffian in the first act. Losing the conflict between inner and outer, Fat Red becomes boring, lacks character development throughout the second act, and the story is almost purely plot-driven.
In addition, the rationality of the motives for the invasion of pigs is somewhat untenable. Why do pigs eat bird eggs? Is the purpose of pigs coming to the bird world to destroy, invade, or steal bird eggs. Perhaps the setting of the entire world view is subject to the opposition between pigs and birds in the game, so it seems a little far-fetched from a story perspective.
The film clearly shows a metaphor for history, the erosion of primitive civilization by modern civilization, the crushing of agricultural civilization by industrial civilization, the plunder of Indians by Americans, and so on. There's even a spoof of a bird dressed as a daft punk. These metaphors will have a kind of "I understand this stalk!" fun when watching the movie, but it is only limited to that.
Overall, it is a film with excellent animation effects, humorous details, but not very qualified storytelling. After the lively plot, it dissipates in the wind, and only the thick red eyebrows are left in my memory...
