Delicate expression of profound resonance

I paid attention to this movie because the male protagonist Gabriel Byrne liked his performance in the American drama "Inquiry". After watching the trailer, I also like the music chosen for the film - Solomom Grey - Glas/green. I finally found time to look at it. I was attracted by its shooting techniques in the first five minutes. Without too much rendering, I started to explain a story about a family on the verge of breaking with a very delicate and profound perspective.
It should be said that this kind of obscure but fresh visual art film can often make people calm down and watch, and the resonance and deep thinking in the process, only a good work can bring the audience these heart palpitations and tremors. .
The story is not as exciting as a suspense movie, but shows the different feelings of everyone in life about the same thing through different perspectives. These feelings are deep, without prejudice or suspense. This is an ordinary family, ordinary family members, facing the estrangement caused by the tragic events in life, and the inseparable connection between family members.
Everyone has their own troubles, as well as their own responsibilities; everyone has their own secrets, and the same anger at others' incomprehension. We are all searching for some meaning in life, or the meaning we give it. Let it become traceable, reasonable to follow.
An idealistic mother who gave up her family for her career. A well-behaved father, gave up his acting career for the sake of his family. The eldest son who is considerate, but avoids the responsibilities that he should face. A rebellious and eccentric young son, with a delicate mind and an extraordinary analysis of life. The person who knows his wife best is the comrade-in-arms who works with his wife. But neither the love of the husband and the lover nor the love of the family and children can change the fragile inner world of this great woman in front of the world.
Family may be the destination that many people seek, but the truth is that some people cannot afford it.
that is it. . . . .

Louder Than Bombs quotes

  • [Jonah gets off from phone with Amy]

Conrad: You know, if I had a girl, I'd never lie to her.

Jonah: Yeah? Good luck with that.

  • Melanie: He could still, many years from now, recall the scene in all its detail. The lock of hair she placed behind her ear. The way the washing label stuck out from the neck of her tanktop. The streetlights that went out as they passed Kevin Anderson's house. That strangely familiar smell of damp earth that he couldn't quite place.
