The film has a description that is strikingly similar to the early Gao Xiaosong's "Xiao Song Qi Tan"! (Song list included)

I saw in the film a striking similarity to Gao Xiaosong's "Xiao Song Qi Tan"! ! !
In the second half of the film, they met a nervous man, and the nervous man put a lid on each of their heads, saying that the government would not be able to find you! This is exactly the same as the strange behavior of his uncle in Gao Xiaosong's "Xiao Song Qi Tan" 20150213 issue of "Chen Hua Xi Shi (middle)" during the Cultural Revolution, said his uncle's strange behavior!
Oh my! Does the director also know Gao Xiaosong himself! Is it that the world of neurosis is interconnected! ?

Wow~Sister A is tight~~~
Is the world of neuropaths interoperable? Or is it that Gao Xiaosong has already told the original story to the director who is far away in New Zealand? ! Is it too tight for sister A? ! I don’t know what Teacher Gao Xiaosong thinks...

Ahem... back to the topic...

The real difference between a bear child and a bad boy is: the
bear child will say: I did not choose the gang, but the gang chose me.
The bad boy will say: I did not choose the gang, but the gang gave birth to me.

This movie is bluntly an innocent and interesting movie. The keynote of the whole film was set in 2 minutes from the beginning of the movie. No need to guess that the director is a man who is born with the character of a wild child adventurer. It can be called the New Zealand version of "Moonrise Kingdom" + "Flying House Tour" + "Second Drop of Blood".

The storyline is very simple. Adopted-Adopted female pawn-Leave the adopted spouse old man and adopted bear child-Bear child needs to be recycled-Bear child escapes-Old man finds another person and turns into a prisoner-Two people escape-Strange adventures-Two people Feelings-become friends since then.

Behind the simple storyline, the story also outlines the beauty of New Zealand.
Why do so many people like this kind of escape, and even worship their escape? In modern society, people are stuck in a dotted life. Today, when even a clear blue sky can be screened, people really need a kind of escape. The two protagonists of the film became fascinated by this escape and wild life precisely because of the death of the only matchmaker to human civilization. The wild life and the adventure life of camping can awaken more primitive attributes in the hearts of modern people.

In the middle of the film, the bear child met a bunch of weird fathers and daughters. The father even regarded the bear child as his idol, and then they met a nervous man who had lived in the forest for 15 years.
It is not difficult to see that people's natural yearning for freedom, rebellion, and adventure is the most basic characteristic of human nature. And today, the police, the people in the orphanage, and the army, they are like the bosses, jobs, and fears of future life in our society, they have locked us firmly.
So that we see this kind of innocent, interesting and adventurous movie, which will make people's hearts ripples.

Finally, attach a nice playlist.
I like the plot scenes brought by the music editing inside. I use one shot to the end, where the characters continuously interpret the passage of time, and various post-production techniques connect the characters together.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople quotes

  • Hec: Pretty majestical, aye?

    Ricky Baker: I don't think that's a word.

    Hec: Majestical? Sure it is.

Ricky Baker: Nah, it's not real.

    Hec: What would you know?

    Ricky Baker: It's majestic.

Hec: That doesn't sound very special, majestical's way better.

  • Ricky Baker: That's not very fair. Some people can't even have babies, and the ones who can, they don't even want them.
